Dante Moretti has just landed his dream job: GM of the Chicago Rebels. And screw the haters who think there should be an asterisk next to his name because he’s the first out managing executive in pro hockey. He’s earned the right to be here and nothing will topple him off that perch—especially not an incredibly inconvenient attraction to his star defenseman, Cade “Alamo” Burnett. Cade has always been careful to keep his own desires on the down low, but his hot Italian boss proves to be a temptation he can’t resist. Sure, they both have so much to lose, but no one will ever know...
As Dante and Cade’s taboo affair heats up off the ice and their relationship gets more and more intense, they’ll have to decide: is love worth risking their careers? Or is this romance destined to be forever benched?
Undone By You shows a different side of the Chicago Rebels, and none of the sisters is the main character here. That role was Cade and Dante’s. And wow, did they play it well!
Story:
I loved how we got a hockey player tentatively starting something with the Chicago Rebels’ new GM. Their romance was very realistic, especially in light of Cade wanting to stay in the closet – at least for a while longer. Undone By You shows how two quite different men can feel completely unravelled by each other – whiles till playing their cards very close to the vest.
Characters:
Dante is comfortable in his own skin, openly gay, ever since he stopped playing hockey and started working in the administrative side of teams instead.
Cade is a young hockey player, not ready to be out yet. But still, lusting after Dante with all he’s got.
Writing style :
Third person point of view, with a close perspective from either Dante or Cade, Undone By You drew me in form the start. The many dialogues as well as references to hockey, other characters, and food had me turning the pages as fast as possible.
Feels :
All the feels! My tender heart almost couldn’t take it. There was so much hope. A bunch of chemistry. There was romance. But there was also fear, a tiny side of bitterness, and strength.
[B]ut Cade had a fantasy, and Dante had every intention of turning this room into the Make a Dirty Wish Foundation and this kid’s dreams into reality.
Reading this book contributed to these challenges:
Sport romances involving hockey are my favorite kind. ♥
Sporty people are hot… and hockey players are the best 😉
Realistic romance are always a feel good to me.
They’re the best!
This sounds like an adorable read. Plus, I love hockey romances. <3
Hockey romances are awesome 🙂
I don’t read a lot of this particular genre but have enjoyed what I tried. I need to read outside the box more. This sounds good, Lexxie.
Reading outside the box is good, Laura 🙂 I find so many gems when I manage to do that.
I enjoyed this one too Lexxie. Boy did they have chemistry! But it was emotional too.
Karen @ For What It’s Worth
Yes! The emotional aspect really got to me, and their chemistry was off the charts 🙂
I haven’t read that much in this genre. I may have to try this one. Brilly review.
I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did, Melissa!

I love sports romance, although it has been awhile since I read any books in this genre.
Sometimes, I don’t read anything in my favorite genre for weeks on end, and then, boom!, I’m back into them again 🙂
This sounds like a great book. I love the quote. So funny.
