Mini Blog Ahead Challenge

Posted 30 April, 2016 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Challenges / 25 Comments

The Blog Ahead Challenge is hosted by Anna @ Herding Cats and Burning Soup. I first participated in the full month of November challenge last year, and it was so nice to get farther ahead with my scheduling. That’s why I’m participating in the Mini Blog Ahead challenge now, it runs from May 1 through May 15.

As I will be travelling from May 9th and only get back home on the 16th, I will even make my very own challenge a bit shorter than what Anna has planned. I’ll blog ahead as much as I can from May 1st through May 8th, and I hope to have both reviews, discussion posts and Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts posts all set up during this week.

For those who participate in the full 15 days, Anna has suggested to up their scheduled post by 15, I am going to aim for having 8 more scheduled posts than I have right now, as I can only do 8 days of the challenge.

If you are lagging a bit behind, this challenge is just the thing for you, there is a closed Facebook group, as well as many ways to encourage other bloggers who are participating as well.

Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚

This sounds so great – wish you luck and enough time to get your goal done! I currently canยดt post anything on my blog since I am having major trouble with my domain registrator and setting my custom domain into my blog. So my blog is not accessable for the next 1-2 weeks …..

But have fun with this challenge and I guess I try that one the next time it runs ๐Ÿ™‚
    best wishes

Thanks for your kind words ๐Ÿ™‚ I can really use them right now. I will be so happy when this nightmare is finally over and reading books and writing reviews is the thing that keeps me sane.

  2. I’m doing this one too, Lexxie. I’m hoping to get the 15 in before we leave…not over-achieving…just in need of having many, many posts pre-scheduled with all I have going on in May. My company starts arriving on the 18th. Gah! But before then…before then I’m going to be having nachos and margaritas with you. I’m going to be watching baseball with you! I’m going to try to find some tator tots for you!! I’M GOING TO BE HANGING OUT WITH YOU!!!! (I think I may be a bit excited this morning ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) **BIG HUGS** until I can give you real hugs! <3

    • Oh my goodness, Brandee! You’re aiming for 15 posts in 8 days?? Way to go, and I’m sure you can do it.
You are going to have loads of nachos and margaritas with me before then, and we’ll have so much fun! I can’t even wait! My stuff is ready to go – not inside the suitcase, but still – all ready ๐Ÿ˜€ And I’m going to hug you so much, and finish our conversations with songs ๐Ÿ˜‰ *BIG HUGS*

  3. This sounds like a great idea! I seem to be writing posts every night before they show up on my blog. I only have one review to write at the moment so the only thing that I can get ahead on would be the easier posts. I will look forward to seeing your results!

    • I have a lot of my meme posts for the Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts already set up – up until almost the middle of June, actually. It’s easier for me if I write that post at the same time as my review, that way, I won’t forget my food or drink quote.
I also have reviews ahead, as I mostly post reviews three or four times per week, and have other posts the other days ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I did a lot of review writing and scheduling this past Friday, which I’m happy about. I do really like this idea though. I didn’t officially sign up, but I’m still going to try and use the time before BEA to get some more posts scheduled – maybe even a discussion or two. I mean to do more of those!

Did you see I’m going to BEA? My sister is able to attend so we can make it! I’M SO EXCITED!

    • That’s really good, Lauren. Having posts already scheduled makes everything easier. I want to do some more discussion posts, too, it’s so much fun!
I did see you’re going to BEA! I can’t wait to see you ๐Ÿ™‚ xoxo

  5. Oh, just what I need! Blog Ahead SAVED me in November. I was able to maintain a constant thirty-something posts ahead, but now my reading slump and procrastination has caught up with me and I have about 14. At one point I was two months ahead in everything and it was glorious. This came along just in time!
