When We Touch is the prequel to the Whiskey Creek series, it is a short novella about Olivia who comes home to Whiskey Creek to be the wedding planner for her sister... and her very own ex-fiancé Brandon. As soon as she gets into town, she breaks down, she really doesn't want this job - Noelle and Brandon's betrayal still stings too much. Luckily, she meets Kyle, and talks with him before gathering the courage to go to her parents' house to meet with everybody.

When We Touch is the prequel to the Whiskey Creek series, and it made me want to read the whole series in one go!
This is a delightful short story that enticed me enough to want to read the whole Whiskey Creek trilogy! Olivia is hurting so bad, and her sister, Noelle, is one of the most self-absorbed people I have ever read about! Kyle will probably have more than enough time to regret straying when Olivia wanted to take a small break!
I just found this story delightful! I can’t wait to get to know the characters better, and to read more about Olivia and Brandon – the so-called bad-boy; and Kyle’s step-brother – and how they will deal with their feelings.
The characters were well fleshed out, the writing was very fluid, and I was drawn in to the story as soon as I started reading. Olivia is a strong woman, but she started out very vulnerable after her sister snatched her boyfriend by getting pregnant and getting him to marry her instead of Olivia.
Noelle and Olivia’s parents were totally clueless, though. I don’t understand how any parent could ask the betrayed sister to be the wedding planner – even if they wanted to save money.
Now, off I go to get the next installment!
I’m liking this one!
Thanks Tracy 🙂 it was a good read indeed!
