Weekend Wrap-up #290 – It’s Cooling Down

Posted 14 September, 2019 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Memes, Wrap-up Posts / 15 Comments

Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #290

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

Frost and Flame cover - (un)Conventional Bookworms - Weekend Wrap-upFallen cover - (un)Conventional Bookworms - Weekend Wrap-up

Code Name Sentinel audiocover - (un)Conventional Bookworms - Weekend Wrap-up

I have a Kindle Unlimited subscription now, and there are so many books on there I want to read I have almost forgotten about some of my ARCs. And there are way too many to actually show here – even if I haven’t actually purchased them.

The Sunday Post #230 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

A week ago, Mr. Lex and I went to our apartment in Spain for a weekend just the two of us – and it was so nice I didn’t even post a Sunday post 🙂 We just hung out, ate good food, had some great conversations, and enjoyed being together.

This past week was hectic, but I guess that’s just how it’s going to be for this school year, what with working in two different schools, plus my classes at Uni. I hope I’ll be able to hang on and not get too stressed out!

The weather is cooling down here, and autumn is definitely in the air. It gets nice and warm during the day, and we have cool, awesome nights.

This Week’s Puppies in Action:

Hercules and Freddy playing on the patio.
Hercules is on the prowl… and he’s probably going to launch a surprise attack on Freddy <3

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

  1. A weekend away from it all just with the husband sounds like bliss!
Kindle Unlimited is awesome. I’ve had it for over a year now and while it was severely underutilised for more than half of that, I more than make up for it now! 🙂

Ooh nice! We’re still in the midst of summer here. Fall is usually late, and usually short. I wish we had four seasons here! Lol. Hopefully you’ll find a balance what with the hectic schedule so that things won’t be too overwhelming. I hate that kind of stress. I think it’s almost a good thing I didn’t start blogging until my last year of school because I honestly don’t know how I would’ve handled school, a job, and a blog when it was an ongoing occurrence! My last year of school, when I started my blog, was fairly calm. I had most of my credits completed and I think I was able to do two semesters of 2-3 classes instead of the 4-5!

Nice new reads! I still need to read Gena’s first book in this series as it sounded like fun! I was kind of curious about this book by Rebecca too. I’m pretty sure I might have one of her other titles in my TBR pile somewhere! Lol. Hope you enjoy your lovely new reads!

My StS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

Getting away like that sounds fabulous and glad you could do it before your crazy week got started. Nice haul there. I got Fallen, too.
Haha, Hercules does look like a pup on a mission. 🙂

  4. That sounds like a wonderful getaway. It’s been cooling off here too, especially at night, and I’m loving it. Having the windows open with cool breezes wafting in- it’s nice. Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Hercules on the prowl :). Watch out Freddy lol!

  5. Yay for a weekend away and cooler weather. I know what you mean about Kindle Unlimited. I just finished Fallen. I am enjoying the series; it’s a bit quirky. Have a great week and hopefully a bit of reading!

Last week was a bit hectic for me. My daughter had surgery and we were both out 5 days. Today is the first day back to school (her) and work (me).

How’s that Gena S. series? I loved LotU, but gave up on it after a few disappointing reads (and don’t get me started on William…).

  7. It’s been cooling down where I live too, and I’m really looking forward to Autumn. I want a kindle unlimited subscription and have been thinking ion trying it out. There is a lot of temptation there, so I can see how it would be easy to forget about your ARCS. LOL. It sounds like you have a wonderful time with Mr. Lexx. I enjoy spending quality time with my husband too, and it sounds like you have a busy work schedule, so It’s good to unwind. Happy Reading your two new ARCS. I love both Gena Showalter and Rebecca Zanetti!
