Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #252

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

A book-friend of mine (one of the only people I know here in Geneva who loves books as much as I do!) was in Canada this summer, and she spent some time with KA Tucker. Tucker is the person who made us meet, as when I was at the New Romance Festival in the south of France two years ago, and she heard I lived in Geneva, she was all “Oh, then you know Amélie, right?”. I didn’t. But I contacted her when I got home, and now we have lunch several times a year to chat about books and life. And we’ve been to some book conventions together.

Anyway, there were a few KA Tucker books I didn’t have in paperback, and Amélie brought them to me – signed and personalized – and I got them yesterday. *happy dances*

The Sunday Post #202 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

I’ve had another very busy week, so nothing new there. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous this week, though, and it’s been so nice! Rather chilly in the morning, and bright sunshine in the afternoon. With the trees changing colors, it’s like nature is putting on an art show out there!

Walking to class in Uni on Wednesday, this was my view, it’s the river Arve – and it was too beautiful not to stop and take a picture <3

    • I agree, Olivia 🙂 And I am very happy to be friends with another bookworm in real life, one I can hang out with every now and then 🙂
I love the cover for Player, too. And I’ll try to review it quickly… I’m still reading a lot, and reviewing very little, Olivia.

    • I should have specified, it’s a river that runs through Geneva. And yes, that view made me stop for a little while. I have to continue to appreciate the little things 🙂
It was really nice of her, and of KA Tucker, too 🙂
Have a wonderful week ahead yourself.

  1. OOh nice new reads! All new to me ones! But yay for gorgeous weather! Our weather is finally starting to feel like fall! Just in time for me to leave on my vacation! Lol! It never fails! Oh well!

Hope you have a GREAT week ahead!!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  2. It is finally starting to FEEL like fall, but doesn’t look it yet. The colors change here pretty fast, and it hasn’t started yet! I love the story about K.A. Tucker, how awesome.

    Have a great week!

  3. Wow love the river pic! Nice that you have a view like that at uni! And glad you’ve had nice weather too. I love those perfect days we sometimes get in the fall, with sunshine and temps that are just right. 🙂

The dogs must love this time of year too!

    • I know! So many great books 🙂 I’ve already read all KA Tucker, and you should definitely read Keep Her Safe as soon as you possibly can. It’s a suspense / mystery book, and I loved it!
I also loved Sex, Not Love – it was just what I needed to read last week 🙂
      Have a great weekend Tanya.

  4. I wish I knew more bookworms in real life. Nobody in my real life reads. I love your river photo! I took pictures of the trees while I was walking the dog this week because it’s going to snow next week. That’ll kill all the pretty fall colors. 🙁

We are just now getting the cool crisp weather so our leaves aren’t changing that fast yet. I can’t believe how blue that river is. I’m used to muddy rivers. Stunning! Love the new dog pics as well. We have a new kitten and nothing prepared me for how active kittens are. So fun though. I love that you got those paperbacks. I don’t have any by her yet. Of course, I have read them all too. Enjoy your books and the rest of your weekend!

    • The water in that river comes from the Alps, so I guess that might be part of why it’s so blue and not muddy? Also, the bottom is mostly rocks, so that probably helps, too.
Oh my, a new kitten sounds like a lot of energy. I am still waiting for Hercules to calm down a bit.
Have a spectacular Sunday, Lorna 🙂

    • It really was! I love that I have those signed, too. They look very good on my shelves 😀
I hope Hercules will somewhat calm down and be more like Freddy as he grows up. Freddy is happy no matter what’s going on, as long as he’s with us.

  6. `The River Arve is beautiful…Tick Tock looks interesting…Claimed sounds interesting…sounds like you had a good week; here’s to another good one.

  7. What a gorgeous picture of the river, Lexxie. We, too, have been blessed with loads of sunshine this month. Long may it continue as it shortens the winter! I hope this coming week is just a tad less busy for you and the bright weather continues.

  8. I love how pretty nature looks during Autumn. The colours are so beautiful that always put a smile on my face (even when I’m feeling down). I also love your puppy updates so much. Your dogs are cuties! I’d love to share pics of my cats, but every time I try to take one, they just walk away and look at me as if they would murder me (my cats don’t like photos at all).

I hope you enjoy your new books. It’s so good to have a bookish friend.

    Happy readings!
    Tânia @MyLovelySecret

  9. That river is so blue! I don’t think we have that color blue in NJ. lol
I need to find some book friends like that in NJ, I feel like the only bookish person I know.
    Love the puppies!

I hope you have a fantastic week, Lexxie! Happy Reading! ox

  10. Darling, I have all 3 books under your new purchases heading. 😉 Although I saw on my way down to the comment box you’ve already read Sex, Not Love. Have you already finished all three? Because if not, buddy reads?!? I hope you’re having a fantastic week so far! I miss you and love you!!! {{{BIG HUGS}}}

  11. I enjoy reading these even when you are busy. I’ve been very busy and just hanging in there until I could do more which isn’t working. I hope you are enjoying all the school and what reading you can manage. Here’s to a great week- I’m off for 4 days. Anne – Books of My Heart
