Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.
STS #252
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:
Thank you Belle Brooks and Jane Harvey-Berrick!
A book-friend of mine (one of the only people I know here in Geneva who loves books as much as I do!) was in Canada this summer, and she spent some time with KA Tucker. Tucker is the person who made us meet, as when I was at the New Romance Festival in the south of France two years ago, and she heard I lived in Geneva, she was all “Oh, then you know Amélie, right?”. I didn’t. But I contacted her when I got home, and now we have lunch several times a year to chat about books and life. And we’ve been to some book conventions together.
Anyway, there were a few KA Tucker books I didn’t have in paperback, and Amélie brought them to me – signed and personalized – and I got them yesterday. *happy dances*
The Sunday Post #202 – Weekend Wrap-up
Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
I’ve had another very busy week, so nothing new there. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous this week, though, and it’s been so nice! Rather chilly in the morning, and bright sunshine in the afternoon. With the trees changing colors, it’s like nature is putting on an art show out there!

Avalinah @ Avalinah’s Books discusses anxiety this week.
Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!
So lovely of your good friend to get the other books signed for you so you could have them too! And I’m glad you’ve got such a lovely bookworm based friendship with her ^.^ I also really like the cover to Player and have been seeing it across some blogs lately. Would be interested to read your review of that to see if it is worth me getting!
My recent post: https://oliviascatastrophe.com/2018/10/september-wrap-up/
I agree, Olivia 🙂 And I am very happy to be friends with another bookworm in real life, one I can hang out with every now and then 🙂
I love the cover for Player, too. And I’ll try to review it quickly… I’m still reading a lot, and reviewing very little, Olivia.
Oh nice there! many things for you! happy reading my friend!
Thanks Melliane 🙂

Lexxie that view of the lake is stunning.
That’s so nice of your friend Amelie to deliver signed books to you!
Cute furbaby pics as per usual.
Have a wonderful week.
Angelica @ Paperback Princess
I should have specified, it’s a river that runs through Geneva. And yes, that view made me stop for a little while. I have to continue to appreciate the little things 🙂
It was really nice of her, and of KA Tucker, too 🙂
Have a wonderful week ahead yourself.
OOh nice new reads! All new to me ones! But yay for gorgeous weather! Our weather is finally starting to feel like fall! Just in time for me to leave on my vacation! Lol! It never fails! Oh well!
Hope you have a GREAT week ahead!!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Sex, Not Love was a good one, Jessica. I’ll try to get my review up soon 🙂
Where are you going on vacation? I hope fall will still be in full swing when you get back!
I’m headed to Orlando, FL to hit all the theme parks! I’ve always wanted to go to Disney around Halloween time and that’s exactly what I am doing this year!
That sounds like so much fun! Enjoy your trip!
I bought Player by Staci Hart too. I hope I can read it soon because I’ve already seen some amazing reviews about it. Have you read it yet?
I hope I’ll be able to read it soon, too! I think I’ll start it as soon as I finish my current read 🙂
Have a great weekend Stephanie!
It is finally starting to FEEL like fall, but doesn’t look it yet. The colors change here pretty fast, and it hasn’t started yet! I love the story about K.A. Tucker, how awesome.
Have a great week!
I can’t even begin to explain how happy I am about the cool nights!! We had such a hot summer and no air conditioning 😮
Have a great week, too Tonyalee!
I keep hearing amazing things about The Simple Wild. I need to read that soon.
The Simple Wild was awesome! Tucker just keeps getting better with each book she writes!
Gorgeous photos and tempting books. I’ve been meaning to read something by K. A. Tucker.
Enjoy the fall days. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
I have enjoyed every single books Tucker has written, Laurel-Rain 🙂 I guess it depends on which genre you’d like to read – she branches out 🙂
You’ve got some lovely ab-filled covers this week. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
LOL, I do! I want to know more about those abs 😉
You have some steamy covers there! I hope you enjoy them all!
Steam is good 🙂 I have to read so many academic papers about didactics and pedagogy these days, so the nice, steamy reads keep me sane 🙂
Wow love the river pic! Nice that you have a view like that at uni! And glad you’ve had nice weather too. I love those perfect days we sometimes get in the fall, with sunshine and temps that are just right. 🙂
The dogs must love this time of year too!
I know! Geneva is a beautiful city to live in. And I’m so happy I got to see the river with the sun and the colored trees.
I hope you’ll have many perfect fall days next week, Greg!
Elle Kennedy, Vi Keeland and Staci Hart? My goodness, you have some good reading ahead of you! 🙂 And the K.A. Tucker books *claps wildly* I loved Until It Fades and The Simple Wild. I haven’t started Keep Her Safe yet but it’s definitely high on the TBR.
I know! So many great books 🙂 I’ve already read all KA Tucker, and you should definitely read Keep Her Safe as soon as you possibly can. It’s a suspense / mystery book, and I loved it!
I also loved Sex, Not Love – it was just what I needed to read last week 🙂
Have a great weekend Tanya.
Thats great that you have a local book friend!! I live in the same town as Mia Sheridan. One day, I’m gonna make her be my local book friend! Ha!
That sounds like a great plan, Samantha!
I wish I knew more bookworms in real life. Nobody in my real life reads. I love your river photo! I took pictures of the trees while I was walking the dog this week because it’s going to snow next week. That’ll kill all the pretty fall colors. 🙁
I don’t know many! And Amélie and I don’t see each other very often, but it’s definitely great 🙂
I’m glad you got some pictures before everything turns white, AJ 🙂

We are just now getting the cool crisp weather so our leaves aren’t changing that fast yet. I can’t believe how blue that river is. I’m used to muddy rivers. Stunning! Love the new dog pics as well. We have a new kitten and nothing prepared me for how active kittens are. So fun though. I love that you got those paperbacks. I don’t have any by her yet. Of course, I have read them all too. Enjoy your books and the rest of your weekend!
The water in that river comes from the Alps, so I guess that might be part of why it’s so blue and not muddy? Also, the bottom is mostly rocks, so that probably helps, too.
Oh my, a new kitten sounds like a lot of energy. I am still waiting for Hercules to calm down a bit.
Have a spectacular Sunday, Lorna 🙂
Aww how sweet of your friend to bring you those books signed and personalized! And what a beautiful picture! The pups are cute, as usual 😀 Have a great week!
I know! She really went over and beyond 🙂
Have a great week, too, Kristen.
That was really nice of your friend to get you the signed copies! Our weather sounds similar. I like the crisp nights and look forward to sitting out by the fire pit soon. My cat used to do the same thing as Freddy and my dog is more like Hercules:)
It really was! I love that I have those signed, too. They look very good on my shelves 😀
I hope Hercules will somewhat calm down and be more like Freddy as he grows up. Freddy is happy no matter what’s going on, as long as he’s with us.
`The River Arve is beautiful…Tick Tock looks interesting…Claimed sounds interesting…sounds like you had a good week; here’s to another good one.
It is! I love that I was able to appreciate it all the while stressing to get to class on time 🙂
Have a good week yourself, Joanne.
That was so sweet of your friend to bring those back for you!
Sex not Love is on my wishlist so hopefully it’s enjoyable!
Have a great week.
I loved Sex, Not Love, Nicci. It was so good. And just what I needed last week. Fluff, a little conflict, and lots of funny and hot scenes 🙂
What a gorgeous picture of the river, Lexxie. We, too, have been blessed with loads of sunshine this month. Long may it continue as it shortens the winter! I hope this coming week is just a tad less busy for you and the bright weather continues.

that is one pretty river! have to say it shadows when the hot guy with the cello XD
I love when the weather gets warmer in the afternoons – it’s very Autumble here. I can see winter approaching fast!!
Such cute puppies!
Here’s my Sunday Wrap Up Post. Hope you can drop by!
I love how pretty nature looks during Autumn. The colours are so beautiful that always put a smile on my face (even when I’m feeling down). I also love your puppy updates so much. Your dogs are cuties! I’d love to share pics of my cats, but every time I try to take one, they just walk away and look at me as if they would murder me (my cats don’t like photos at all).
I hope you enjoy your new books. It’s so good to have a bookish friend.
Happy readings!

Yay for good friends and sunny days! t looks like you had a wonderful week and those pups are too cute!

That river is so blue! I don’t think we have that color blue in NJ. lol
I need to find some book friends like that in NJ, I feel like the only bookish person I know.
Love the puppies!
I hope you have a fantastic week, Lexxie! Happy Reading! ox

That is such a cute story about the signed books <3 wow 🙂
Thank you for sharing my post!!
Wow you have an awesome friend and I think all the bookish friends are awesome and thoughtful right? I love the picture of the river and it is super scenic. Have a great week.
Darling, I have all 3 books under your new purchases heading. 😉 Although I saw on my way down to the comment box you’ve already read Sex, Not Love. Have you already finished all three? Because if not, buddy reads?!? I hope you’re having a fantastic week so far! I miss you and love you!!! {{{BIG HUGS}}}
I enjoy reading these even when you are busy. I’ve been very busy and just hanging in there until I could do more which isn’t working. I hope you are enjoying all the school and what reading you can manage. Here’s to a great week- I’m off for 4 days. Anne – Books of My Heart
That picture of the river is gorgeous! (And your dogs too!)
So nice of your friends to bring you such an awesome gift! It’s also nice that you met because of that author. So cute!
Have a lovely week!
Wonderful week. Authographed books from a favourite author is amazing.
