Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.
STS #219
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:
I bought both these books during our trip, I love local myths, and I really want to know what Twain thought of Hawaii when he stayed there, too.
The Sunday Post #169 – Weekend Wrap-up
Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
I’m pretty jet-lagged right now, as we arrived home from Oahu on Friday early evening. And the time difference is 11 hours. We had a fantastic time, though, the island was beautiful, the people friendly, and the weather close to perfect. We went on hikes, we drove to the north shore, and we even took a day trip to Maui. We were sad to leave, even as we were happy to get back home to the kids and the dogs.

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!
I have loved seeing all your beautiful photos of the trip! I’m so glad you had enough time to enjoy there! Rest up and relax this weekend. I’m sure laundry is calling. 🙂
We really loved our trip, Charlie. And we would have stayed longer if we could – but we still feel satisfied with what we saw and did while we were there, you know?
And yeah, laundry… there’s a problem with our outside pump, so I’m not sure if I can even try to get one load done 😮
So glad you are home safe and your trip to Hawaii was fabulous. The myths looks neat and how fun that Mark Twain shared his thoughts on a visit to Hawaii. I stayed at a place in California last fall, an inn on Mono Lake where he wrote Roughing It and the inn was in the story.
I forgot to watch for your instagram pics so I’ll have to go back and scroll through them.
Have a great weekend and a nice rest to get caught up after your travels, Lexxie!
Oh that’s neat, Sophia! I like it when there’s something more to the books I read – and it must have been great to read about the inn where you stayed 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!

Ooh nice! Glad you had a good time! And yay for books! I love it when I read a book that’s set in a place I’ve visited! It’s just fun to really picture the places they mention and whatnot!
Hope you get lots of rest this weekend and…blanking on the word to help recharge/reset? you back to your timeline! Lol!
Happy Reading!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
It is so nice to find books set in a place we’ve visited, I agree, Jessica.
I think I’ll be able to get back on track in the right time zone fairly quickly. I was able to go to bed last night not too late, and I was up at 7am this morning. Hopefully, I’ll be able to go to sleep fairly early tonight too, and then, I’ll be ready for work on Monday 😉
