Waiting on Wednesday - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place to showcase a book we’re really looking forward to with bated breath! A new release in our favorite series, an exciting new title from a favorite author…

Lion’s Share (Wildcats #1) – Rachel Vincent

Abby Wade has a dangerous secret.
Two months ago, she disobeyed an order, but instead of kicking her out of the Pride, Jace offered her a job. Since then, she’s been battling a completely inappropriate crush on the young, hot Alpha. But when accepting his job offer seems like the only way to keep her skeletons safely in their closet, Abby doesn’t hesitate.
Jace Hammond has a big problem.
A rogue is slaughtering humans in his territory, and he must eliminate the threat before the entire shifter species is exposed. There could not be a worse time for Abby to accept a job he only offered as a boost to her confidence. Abby is smart, beautiful, and resilient—more than enough to distract any man from the mission. Unfortunately, she may just be the worst enforcer ever to hold the title.
As they hunt the killer, Abby’s secret becomes a threat to Jace’s authority and to her own life. But the real danger is the grip she has on his twice-shy heart.

I must have had a little trouble with my scheduling for Lion’s Share, because this book is already released! I’m not sure if it was moved forward, or if I’ve been living under a rock, but there you go 😉

Thanks for stopping by, have a fantastic Wednesday! Don’t forget to leave me a link in your comment so I can come and check out your Waiting on Wednesday post, too.

    • Yeah, but I wonder if they moved the release date up, or if I was completely out of it – this one is already out 😀

    • I have read her Shifters series and her Unbound series, and enjoyed both of those as well as her Soul Screamers series 🙂

  1. YES! I bought this one already, though I think I need to do an update on it because Rachel mentioned having to make changes to it! Little inconsistencies and things like that! Cannot wait to read it though! Got trudge through my review books first! Which just got bigger yesterday! LOL!

    Here’s my WoW

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

Jessica @ a GREAT read recently posted: Waiting on Wednesday
    • When I realized it’s already released, I went ahead and one-clicked it as well, Jessica. Yeah, those pesky review-books tend to interfere with other books sometimes 😉

  2. You’ve been living under a rock ;), it was released on the day the author planned for it to be released. I am really excited for this one and can’t wait to read it. I have a bunch of review books to get through first though. I really enjoyed Rachel her Shifter series and I hope this series will be just as good.

    • LOL; well, that happens sometimes! I must have gotten my dates mixed up when I scheduled this post, as I tend to schedule my WoW posts pretty long in advance, there are just so many books I’m excited about.
And this one will count for the New Release challenge as well, Lola 😉

    • I definitely will get a chance to read it soon, Brandi, as I was mistaken about the release date and now, I own it 😉

    • Rachel Vincent spins pretty amazing and original stories Krystianna, and she has some really good YA books out as well 🙂

  3. I’m waiting on all and any books Sarah J Maas releases this year! There’s a few others as well, it seems the month of May I will be glued to my kindle! 🙂
