Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #73
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.
Today, my Hungry Hearts quote is from Jill Shalvis’ Sweet Little Lies, which I loved. And there were several quotes I could have chosen for today. So many, in fact, that I may just have to re-visit this one in the future 😉
My Hungry Hearts quote:
There were two of them working tonight. Twenty-two-year-old Sean was flipping bottles, juggling them to the catcalls and wild amusement of a group of women all belly up to the bar, wooing them with his wide smile and laughing eyes. But he wasn’t the one Pru’s gaze gravitated to like he was a rack of double-stuffed Oreo cookies. Nope, that honor went to the guy who ran the place, Sean’s older brother. All lean muscle and easy confidence, Finn O’Riley wasn’t pandering to the crowd. He never did.
Thanks for stopping by today, I look forward to reading your Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts quote. Have a terrific Thursday and don’t forget to link up.

Oh that is a good one! I remember that part…lol. 🙂
It’s good, I agree! And it made me melt a little bit for both of them 🙂
Oh, the guy is part of the foodie aspect…lol. Sounds tempting!
LOL, why, yes, he sure is, Laurel-Rain! And he was tempting me through the whole story!
Oh I like the way that sounds. Oreos are yummy and the guy sounds delicious
I know, right?
Haha! I love this quote so much. Just thinking about this book gives me warm and fuzzy feelings. 🙂
I agree, Nick! This whole book was made of awesome, and I can’t wait to continue the series 🙂
Her books are full of good quotes and particularly some good drinks and food quotes. I look forward to this latest story.
She has some amazing food and drink quotes… plus a lot of steamy quotes as well 😀
Welp, that has my attention 🙂 Sad to say that I’ve never read anything Jill Shalvis before. But I would love to get on board because I’ve heard great things. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Oh this is the perfect start to your Jill Shalvis journey, Shane! It’s sweet, romantic and steamy 😀 With some great characters that will feel like friends by the end.
I’m not a fan of Oreos, but I like the sentiment. 😀
Ha! Finn could eat biscuits in my bed and I wouldn’t be mad 😉
I really hope to read this one soon as it sounds like a fun one. I like the oreo comparison, lol.
I hope you’ll be able to read it, Lola, it’s really, really good!
Both those guys sound good to me 😉 I’ll take the men AND some Oreos now, please lol.
And now I want to meet Finn even more than I already did! :/ Mm, double-stuff Oreos! LOL *BIG HUGS*
