The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. I’m still on my Kristen Ashley binge, and today, my Hungry Hearts quote is from Rock Chick Redemption. Roxie has decided to leave Hank and Denver behind, but Hank is sure he can convince her to stay… In order to leave on good terms, she wants to make him breakfast.
My Hungry Hearts quote:
“I’m going to have coffee, make you French toast for breakfast and you’re going to take me back to Tex’s. Then, I’m going to get my car, find Annette and go.”
“French toast sounds good.” He obviously felt like ignoring the rest of what I said.
Whatever.
“Do you have bread, eggs, maple syrup?” I asked.
His head dipped and went to my neck. With his lips there, he said, “Probably.”

I’m in the minority I think when I say I hate maple syrup. I don’t even like the smell of it. *shudders* lol Now, if you had a quote involving bacon…:D

Great quote! I haven’t eaten french toast in a while, now I want some! I really have to read one of Kristen Ashley her books soon, I heard so many good things about them.
