Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #38
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.
This week, my Hungry Hearts quote is from another Kristen Ashley novel, Rock Chick Rescue (Rock Chick #2), which has quite a bit of food quotes, and made me want spicy food for breakfast today 🙂
My Hungry Hearts Quote:
His Mom had cooked homemade tamales, Spanish rice, refried beans and made a salad. The rice and beens were in a divided crock pot, the salad in the fridge and the tamales staying warm in the oven. We piled up our plates and went to the dining room.
Do you have a fun food or drink quote to share today? Thanks for stopping by, have a terrific Thursday, and don’t forget to link up!
There is some great comfort food in the Rock Chick series. Plus all that coffee! I could take Tex yelling at me for one of his creations.
LOL I would also let Tex yell and boom at me if the coffee is really THAT good! And yes, lots of really nice food in this series… the next few weeks all feature quotes from the Rock Chicks 😉
ooh now that sounds like one yummy meal!!! I really need to read this series soon.
It’s a very fund series, Renee, with a lot of things happening to the rock chicks 🙂
This is not an author I’ve heard of, but sounds neat! No book quotes, but now whenever I think of chefs, I envision the very hot Bradley Cooper from Burnt. (lol) Hugs…Ro
YUM! I had to google Bradley Cooper, but yum, I understand why you envision him when you think of chefs, Ro.
Ah yes, Eddie’s Mom is always cooking up something tasty! It always makes me want Mexican food and I don’t get it often. 🙂 I’m so, so happy you enjoyed spending time with the Rock Chicks and their Hot Bunch, Lexxie.
Enjoy the beach!! **BIG HUGS**
Oh my, yes, Blanca’s cooking just might be worth all the hassle Eddie made his chosen rock chick go through, Brandee 😀 *BIG HUGS*

Gosh, thanks for making me crave Mexican food. It’s almost 10PM here. No place to get ’em 🙁
Hope Spain is fab!
Sorry about that, Braine! Spain was wonderful… now it’s back to ‘real’ life once more 😉
Aaaaaand now I’m hungry. lol I’m getting ready to start my first of hers 😀
I hope you’ll enjoy Kristen Ashley, Anna! I have loved some of her novels, and enjoyed others 😀 The writing is good, but sometimes the characters are a little over the top – both in a good and in a less good way.
This sounds like such a fun meme! I’ll have to see if I can come up with something!!!
That would be great, Roxyrolla! I hope you’ll find a good quote to share one of these days 🙂
