Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #22
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.
Today, my chosen Hungry Hearts quote is from Original Sin (Personal Demon #2) by Lisa Desrochers, I’m really enjoying this foray back into the series about a former demon, and angel and a very different girl!
My Hungry Hearts quote:
“Food court?” I say.
“Totally,” Taylor says, because that’s where the high school guys all hang out during the day.
I laugh when we get there and look over at the tables. Trevor and Jackson harris are there with the rest of their crew. They alerady have a mound of french fries and burgers in front of them. I’m convinced teenage boys can never be more than thirty feet from food or they’ll shrivel up and die.
Don’t forget to link up 😉 Thanks for stopping by today! Have a terrific Thursday and happy reading.
That’s a funny quote, and probably true. I know my boys have never been too comfortable too far away from a food source.
I am starting a bar themed second in series mystery tomorrow. Maybe I will find something good to link up.
It really made me chuckle when I read it, Suzi, because my teenaged boys are seemingly always hungry! I would love to see if you can find a quote to link up with next week 🙂
