Teaser Tuesday - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title and author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers.

Teaser Tuesday #44 – Double Play

Double Play cover - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Double Play (Pacific Heat #1) – Jill Shalvis

He’s a great pitcher…and a great catch.

With the end of his career looming, the last thing ace pitcher Pace Martin needs is a distraction, even if it comes in the form of a tough, beautiful, tell-it-like-it-is writer who sees past his defenses.

 My Double Play teaser:

If Pace Martin had the choice between sex and a nap, he’d actually take the nap, and wasn’t that just pathetic enough to depress him. But his shoulder hurt like a mother and so did his damn pride.

What’s your teaser today? Please share – it’s not as if a few more books on my TBR mountain will make that big of a difference 😉

    • *whispers* I won’t tell him if you don’t, Carmel.

If you are looking for a contemporary romance, Shalvis is a must-read!

    • I’m definitely enjoying Double Play, Braine, and sadly, I’m not in Spain anymore… It was only for four days before we got back home. Next time will be for longer, and it will be all vacation and laziness 😀

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with choosing naps over everything because some good sleep is hard to get by nowadays! This sounds like a fun read! Thanks for sharing 🙂 Hope you have a great week!
