Teaser Tuesday #2 – Into the Woods: Tales from the Hollows and Beyond
Yup, I’m still on my Hollows high, now that I’ve finished reading all of the full-size novels, I am reading Into the Woods, where there are several short-stories from the Hollows series. Most of them have been published elsewhere before, but I wanted only the Hollows and Rachel with her friends, and so far I love it so much! Getting to know some of the side characters a lot better is awesome.
As she stared at Mia’s knowing smile, memories filled her: memories of Piscary’s touch, his praise, of his taking everything from her and saying it was proof of her devotion and love, and her flush of acceptance, of finding worth in being everything he wanted.
This is, as you may have guessed, from a story about Ivy.
Now this woman who could sip misery from another as easy as breathing wanted her to accept that the dichotomy that had saved her sanity was a hollow truth?
So, after this, I’m going to just have to wait until the next Hollows book is published in October of this year, and I’m going to go through withdrawals, I’m sure. Having been able to read the ten first books back to back was a rare privilege for me, and I have to say Kim Harisson’s writing can stand being read like that. There aren’t too many recaps to make sure the readers are following, but there is enough so that those who have been waiting for close to a year can still keep up.

I can’t believe you tore through those books! I’m glad to hear about the minimal recaps. When authors constantly remind me what happened in previous installments I always step out of the read to have a private (insane) chat with said authors. And I love short novellas between books! Glad you had so much fun reading this series, Lexxie!
