STS #129 – Bought Borrowed & Bagged #79

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to your library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  you will be reading soon. Bought Borrowed and Bagged is a homage to to Barron’s Books and Baubles from KMM’ Fever series, and is hosted by Braine over at Talk Supe. Without further ado, here’s what I bought, borrowed or bagged this past week:

Falling for his Duchess cover - (un)Conventional BookviewsFalling for his Duchess (The Curse of True Love #3) by Donna Cummings

When a duke meets a vicar’s daughter, he falls instantly in love—with a little help from the goddess Aphrodite. But the lady no longer believes in love. Can he change her mind?
Julian Selby, Duke of Enfield, comes from a long line of people who fall deeply in love. Love that can be either a blessing or a curse, depending on whether it is returned. When Julian rescues a lovely lady from a country storm, he knows at once she’s the one for him. To gain time for his courtship, he tricks her into believing he’s a simple gentleman. But when she learns the truth, she may never trust him again.
Rosalinde Hewitt, daughter of a country vicar, accepted another man’s offer of marriage to escape her quiet life. She’s crushed when her suitor doesn’t appear at their assignation—that is, until Mr. Selby sweeps her into a flirtation that opens her heart to joy and laughter. At last, she’s found a man she can trust with her heart…until she learns who he really is. Can even a meddling goddess convince her a duke may truly love a country miss?

Walk the Edge cover - (un)Conventional BookviewsWalk the Edge (Thunder Road #2) by Katie McGarry

One moment of recklessness will change their worlds.
Smart. Responsible. That’s seventeen-year-old Breanna’s role in her large family, and heaven forbid she put a toe out of line. Until one night of shockingly un-Breanna-like behavior puts her into a vicious cyber-bully’s line of fire—and brings fellow senior Thomas “Razor” Turner into her life.
Razor lives for the Reign of Terror motorcycle club, and good girls like Breanna just don’t belong. But when he learns she’s being blackmailed over a compromising picture of the two of them—a picture that turns one unexpected and beautiful moment into ugliness—he knows it’s time to step outside the rules.
And so they make a pact: he’ll help her track down her blackmailer, and in return she’ll help him seek answers to the mystery that’s haunted him—one that not even his club brothers have been willing to discuss. But the more time they spend together, the more their feelings grow. And suddenly they’re both walking the edge of discovering who they really are, what they want, and where they’re going from here.

Strange Magic cover - (un)Conventional BookviewsStrange Magic (Magic #1) by Michelle Mankin

Billy Blade is a hardworking, hard living, razor sharp musical force. Mysterious behind his dark shades, the rough around the edges Texan mesmerizes with his haunting harmonica and tantalizes with his dangerous looks and smooth country charm. His latest album is topping the charts. He’s the newly crowned King of the Bacchus Krewe. He’s definitely living the rock star dream.
Exotic Creole beauty Thyme Bellerose couldn’t be more content. She has it all. An adoring grandmother. A handsome Tulane medical student beau. A satisfying job in the heart of New Orleans’ French Quarter. Her life is as rich as the ice cream she creates. She’s got everything under control.
But control is an illusion. Dreams can turn into nightmares. And now during Mardi Gras, otherworldly powers stand ready to shape their destinies in ways they could never imagine.
Shadow and light. Magic and mystery. Reality and myth. All come together in a place where rules bend and lines blur. Even those between life and death.
