Safe and Sexy
Thinking of my romances and safe sex at the same time started when I wrote my discussion post with the same name a long time ago! Not too long after, the idea of sharing quotes about that ensured that the feature Safe and Sexy was born. It’s where I will share a quote from a story I have read, and where there is a lot of hotness and sexiness, but where they still take the time to be safe! It’s important to me to read books that make me dream, but I also want them to be somewhat realistic. And to me, characters seem realistic when they take care of themselves and their partner(s)! Safe sex is a great way to do so, and when an author includes a couple of lines to share that they are indeed using condoms, I am such a happy reader. And I think it’s sexy when both new and ‘old’ lovers show that they respect each other by getting that condom, and possibly making using it both safe and sexy, hot and fun.

I take the orange-flavored condom out of Miller’s hand and set it on the nightstand. “Not the orange one. It’ll ruin the moment. Can’t believe you brought that into my house.”
He laughs. “Sorry. It was a vending machine in the men’s bathroom. I didn’t get to choose what came out of it.”

I loved this book so much! I have to mention that the adults never mentioned anything about birth control when they got together. I mean I know they were both in relationships but maybe it should have warranted a sentence or two? At any rate it didn’t change how much I enjoyed the book.
Loved this scene from the book, I was snickering and my husband asked me what was so funny and I read the passage to him and he just shook his head at me. lol..
I plan on starting this one next week while I’m at home for Christmas break. I can’t wait! (For both the book and the break. LOL)
