Review: Dating a Cougar – Donna McDonald

Review: Dating a Cougar – Donna McDonald

My Dating a Cougar review: Dating a Cougar is a quick read filled with both romance and some unlikely things. MacDonald is very good at describing a mature woman’s wants and needs. I had a problem with this book though, and that was that as much as I really liked Alexa, I didn’t like Casey! He was acting very selfishly and did not take ‘no’ for an answer. I always get uncomfortable when a woman says ‘no’ and the man does not respect her answer. Even if Alexa was turned on by Casey, I think he should have listened to her and let her decide when their relationship should be taken to the next level. He also confused me because […]

Blogtour Review: Rough Justice – Sarah Castille

Blogtour Review: Rough Justice – Sarah Castille

Welcome to my stop on the Rough Justice blogtour. I have my review, my favorite quotes as well as a giveaway to share with you today. This tour is hosted by Xpresso Book Tours, and you can find the other blogs that are participating if you click the banner above. My Rough Justice review: Rough Justice is a tough story with a hard-ass MC president, and a very capable and kick-ass biker who wishes she was far, far away from bikers, the politics and the honor system of a club.  The story is really good, filled with excitement, violence, hot moments, and two protagonists who don’t want to have feelings for each other. Both Jagger and Arianne are excellent characters, […]

Review: Flirting with Disaster – Victoria Dahl

Review: Flirting with Disaster – Victoria Dahl

Sexy and hot, Flirting with Disaster has some great characters, mystery and a lot of romance. My Flirting with Disaster review: Flirting with Disaster incorporated everything I love in a contemporary romance novel! Dahl truly outdid herself with this story. The characters are mature, Isabelle is thirty-six years old, and Tom is a little older than her. Isabelle’s best friend Jill is lesbian, and it’s only mentioned because Jill and her girlfriend had recently broken up. Safe sex is very sexy in Flirting with Disaster, and that always makes me so very happy, condoms, are important and it is sexy to take good care of yourself and your partner! There is also mystery, Isabelle is living under an assumed name, […]

Review: In Too Deep – Kathryn Shay

Review: In Too Deep – Kathryn Shay

In Too Deep is short and to the point, with romance, hotness, firefighters and a good enough story. My In Too Deep review: If you are able to keep up with the suspension of disbelief, In Too Deep might work even better for you than it did for me. The story is quite good, and the characters are definitely enchanting enough, there is also an outside plot, which sadly wasn’t fully developed. Rachel and Gabe have been in love with each other for a while, but they have been keeping their distance for several reasons. First of all he’s the boss, and as firefighters, they need to be able to keep their heads cool in all the dangerous situations they get […]

Review: Hard Knocks – Lori Foster

Review: Hard Knocks – Lori Foster

Hard Knocks features Gage and Harper, as well as several other characters that are part of Foster’s Ultimate universe. Short and very hot, it hit the right spot! My Hard Knocks review: Capturing the tension between Gage and Harper from the first line, Hard Knocks is a sweet introduction to the Ultimate series. If you’re wondering what series that is, you can check out my review of No Limits. The universe is that of MMA fighting, and the characters are very well done, some of them I already knew from the  Love Undercover series, which is also truly excellent! Hard Knocks is short, but still manages to bring out the main characteristics of Gage and Harper, both through the way […]

Audioreview: Ugly Love – Colleen Hoover

Audioreview: Ugly Love – Colleen Hoover

Listening to Ugly Love made the story somehow feel closer to me, the characters were literally telling me their story. My Ugly Love audioreview: The narration was so good, I really felt like I was listening to Miles and Tate throughout Ugly Love, and that was both very good, and sometimes a little strange. When I read my kindle version of Ugly Love, I cried so much, and so ugly in many places. And I actually enjoyed the story more when I read it myself, even if I really did enjoy listening to the audio version as well. For one, listening to Miles go on and on about Rachel, from the very first time they met made him seem a […]

Review: Garrett – Sawyer Bennett

Review: Garrett – Sawyer Bennett

Garrett is a very hot read, but there is a lot more going on than Garrett and Olivia. Between the hockey-games, the romance and Olivia’s secret, it was quite a ride! My Garrett review: In Alex (Cold Fury Hockey #1) Garrett was known as Alex’ best friend, the guy who was always flirting, changing girls every time he went out, and never becoming serious with anybody. When he first met Olivia, however, he was completely mesmerized by her, and even more so because she bluntly turned him down, after laughing at his dirty jokes. When Sutton told him to stay away from his cousin because she had enough stuff going on in her life, he only became more interested in […]

Blogtour Review: Four Days – Dannika Dark

Blogtour Review: Four Days – Dannika Dark

Welcome to my stop on the Four Days blogtour, hosted by Enchantress of Books Blogtours. I have my review to share with you, as well as my favorite quotes, an excerpt and there’s also a giveaway! My Four Days review: I’m just going to fangirl about Four Days for a paragraph right now. There will be squeeing, bouncing and much happiness! I loved Ivy and Lorenzo, the writing was really good, and there were epic fights, a horrendous villain and just lots of awesomeness all around. Now that the squeeing is out of the way, let me tell you about all the things that made Four Days a fantastic read. The character development was outstanding. Ivy seemed so very shy […]

Review: Ruin – C.J. Scott

Review: Ruin – C.J. Scott

Ruin is a quick read, and the characters are quite well done for such a short story. My Ruin review: Kate and Ben met by chance in Winter’s only diner, and all Kate could think about from the start of Ruin was how hot she thought Ben was. Kate’s best friend, Jane, is one of the only people her age who stayed in Winter when everyone else left for college, and she is nervous about strangers in general, and Ben in particular. When it’s obvious that Ben won’t be able to leave their little town that day, Kate decides he should stay with Jane and her grand-mother, work on their crumbled mansion for room and board at least for a […]

Review: The Cowboy Kiss – Kristen James

Review: The Cowboy Kiss – Kristen James

My The Cowboy Kiss review: The Cowboy Kiss is a sweet and very short contemporary romance in which two childhood friends meet up again after six years apart. Cory knows he only has a few days to sweep Autumn off her feet, and apparently, he manages to do so – even if that happened off page. Even in a short story, I think it’s possible to show a little bit more of what the characters are thinking and feeling, and I was not really satisfied when The Cowboy Kiss Ended. The writing is quite good, though, and if you’re in the mood for something very short, The Cowboy Kiss might be just what you need. It was a little bit […]
