Feature and Follow Friday #101 Blog Name
YAY it’s Friday! Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature and Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.The Feature and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Rachel of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to meet more new bloggers!
How did you come up with your blog title and address? Does it have a special meaning for you?
When I decided I wanted to start blogging the name kind of just dropped into my head – and it’s a name I’m very happy with. I didn’t want to only write reviews the conventional way, I wanted to be able to have a little wiggling room when it came to sharing that love for books, and thus (un)Conventional Bookviews was born, on a sunny June morning of 2012 🙂
What about you? Did you think long and hard to come up with the name for your blog, or was it kind of evident like me?
Thanks for stopping by today, have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend.
Well high fives for that philosophy, I’m with youa ll the way there.

🙂 Have a fantastic Friday, Aditi!
I love your blog name and it’s fun to learn what’s behind your choice for this name. It’s original, just like your blog layout/ colour, I always associate this purplish colour with your blog.
My blog name was chosen in a bit of a hurry, I didn’t want to use my real name so I went with my nickname Lola and I wanted something to mention I would be doing book reviews, so Lola’s Reviews it was. Not sure if it’s the best blog name, but it works and not too many people are named Lola luckily. I turned the name Lola into my brand and use the same format for my features now as well like Lola’s Ramblings and Lola’s Kitchen. And when I started my blog tour business I went with the same format, so it’s easy to connect the two.
Oh, thank you Lola 🙂 I’m quite happy that it was actually something original that popped into my head, rather than a blog-name that already existed in a slightly different version.
Lola’s Reviews is a good name, because it does have to do with you, and so it’s also original and personal, right?
I absolutely love your blog name, Lexxie! It’s definitely original as book blogging names go~ As for mine, I’m not sure what made me decide on The Social Potato. It doesn’t even sound like a book blog! LOL! But I love it. It’s catchy, and it’s easy to remember, and I think it leaves an impression. HOPEFULLY 😛
Thank you, Faye 🙂 I love The Social Potato, because it is very different, and you do more than only reviews, so it fits with your social personality, too! And it’s definitely easy to remember, that’s important in the sea of blogs that exist.
I love your blog name. I really like how you used (un) Conventional instead of just spelling out Unconventional. It makes it unique.

Old follower.
Well, it does happen that my reviews are completely conventional, but they don’t have to be 😉 Thanks for stopping by, Stina!
Love the answer. It’s a clever title.
Thank you Book Cupid 😉
Keeping your blog name open and vague is a great idea – I deliberately chose not to focus on anything book-related when I chose my name just in case I ever wanted a bit of wiggle room (like now, when I want to talk about cookies, not books…)
New bloglovin follower 🙂

mmm cookies! And I think that the fact that we might want to talk about something other than books is important to keep in mind 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Beth.
I think the name is very fitting, and I like that you knew you wanted to do some things “outside the box.” I feel that too often we try to put people into certain boxes (categories, labels, etc) for our personal comfort, when in reality it’s up to them to determine where they are because of who they are.
My blog was inspired by a book!
Yeah, I don’t like it when people try to put me in a box! I’m eccentric and eclectic when it comes to many things 😀 Thanks for stopping by, Charlie 🙂

I love you blog title. I have no idea how I would come up with a title if I were to ever start a blog. I don’t know that I ever will. Right now I write at two and that is enough for me.
Thank you Melanie 🙂 You write for two awesome blogs, so you’re all set for now, I guess 🙂
I think it’s a great name. It definitely gets across the idea that you are doing something a little different than the typical book review. It’s awesome that you were able to just come up with out of nowhere too. I think finding a good title can be the hardest part of starting a blog!

My FF!
Yeah, that was just luck, I think, Cayt 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
I love your blog name! It’s completely unique and creative! Plus, it fits your blog perfectly! A Bookish Escape just came to me. When I read, I feel like I’m escaping in to another place 😉
Yeah, escaping into a story is great, Lindy!
