Feature and Follow #71 – Most Anticipated 2014 Reads?

YAY it’s Friday! Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature and Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.The Feature and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Rachel of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to meet more new bloggers!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is that our hosts feature two blogs. Every week they will each showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow both their featured as well as our lovely hosts as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your Feature and follow post. I prefer being followed via e-mail, RSS / Bloglovin’ or Google+; but you can also like my Facebook page, or even follow me on Twitter.

Oh, wow, I actually just went to check out my pre-orders on amazon – and there are 15 books on there right now. There might soon be more, but these are books I pre-ordered during 2013, as soon as it was possible to do so. I am going to only tell you about a few, though, because this will be a huge post if I include them all.

Written in my Own Heart’s Blood (Outlander #8) by Diana Gabaldon. I can’t wait to get my Jamie fix, really I can’t! Since I started the Outlander series, I have also read all the Sir John books, and the graphic novel, just to keep on getting glimpses of Jamie. And soon, there will also be a TV show!

Illusion (Chronicles of Nick #5) by Sherrilyn Kenyon. This will be the last installment in the YA spin-off from her Dark Hunter series, and so many things happened in the last installment I just cannot wait to see how she manages to fit everything back together and make a proper end to Nick’s story.

The King (Black Dagger Brotherhood #12) by J.R. Ward is another one I can’t wait to read 🙂 It’s going to be awesome to read more about Wrath, and how the brotherhood will deal with the band of bastards who are out for their blood.

Up From the Grave (Night Huntress #7) by Jeaniene Frost – yes, more Bone and Cat, and a great mystery to solve with the possible help of a ghost.

Of course, I’ve already mentioned The Undead Pool (The Hallows #12) by Kim Harrison, so I won’t do so today (tee-hee see what I did there?) and I truly have to add Ignite Me (Shatter Me #3) by Tahereh Mafi.

What are your most anticipated 2014 reads? Please leave me a link to your #FF post so I can come and check it out 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today, have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend.

  1. *gasps* I have quite a few of the same ones on my list, Lexxie! 😉 *haha*

I actually incorporated a few books that I need to read in 2014 before I can read the 2014 releases. 🙂 *sigh* So many books…

Happy Friday, Lexxie! I hope you’re feeling much better! And that you have a fabulous day doing whatever YOU want to do. I will be scarce this weekend as I’m crafting for a fundraiser again. 🙂 If nothing else, I check in on Sunday. *BUG HUGS* my dear!!

    • Oh my goodness, we have the same books on our lists? What were the chances :O 😉

I am feeling better, but not 100% yet. Right now, the sun is shining, and that just helps everything.

Good luck with crafting and the fundraiser, Brandee. Have a great weekend. *BIG HUGS*

    • I have a big problem with the one-clicking and the pre-odering when it comes to my favorite authors and series.

Thanks for the follow and the comment, Jenn 🙂

    • I know, but there will be more books in the spin-off series, so we probably will see more of them anyway.

Thanks for stopping by, Jeann 🙂

  2. Jessica @ a GREAT read

OOh nice! I wasn’t prepared for this question, so I was scrambling to think of books! I know I left a LOT out! Great picks!! Especially your last few! Those were on my list too! Might have forgotten Kim’s but that’s a given!

    Here’s my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

    • Oh there are just too many series out there, and when they are good, I have to get the next installment 🙂

Thanks for stopping by, Stormi, have a wonderful weekend, too.

    • Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ll enjoy the books you added thanks to me when you get to read them 🙂

      Have a wonderful weekend.

    • I’m not sure about the TV series, I have such vivid images in my head about everything, I’m just a little afraid to be disappointed. At the same time, it looks like it will be a lot of fun to watch, so I probably will 🙂

Thanks for stopping by Jennifer. Have a wonderful weekend.

    • Oh those are all among my favorite authors, Jennifer. I hope you do pick them up, and that you’ll love them as much as I have 🙂

      Enjoy your weekend.

  4. A lot of these books are unfamiliar to me, Lexxie. As for The Hollows, I am still making up my mind about it. Following a 12-volume series is certainly daunting. Hahahah.

And yes to Ignite Me. Can’t wait to read on what will happen to Warner. I am going to read Ignite Me back to back with Unravel Me and Fracture Me. Warner FTW.

Thanks for sharing these with us! I hope you’re having good Saturday with the rest of the fam. <3

    • Hey, you should try the first Hollows book, Charlotte, and if you enjoy that – you know you’ll have much more books set in the same universe. What amazes me in this series is that even in the first book, there are some comments made, that actually become part of a major plot point later on in the series.

Thanks for stopping by, my friend <3 Have a wonderful weekend!

  5. Hello , thanks for stopping by my blog :).
As You know I was waiting for up from the grave as well and the day is finally here :).

I also love the black dagger brotherhood books as well.
