Feature and Follow #67 – Fave Holiday Food
YAY it’s Friday! Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature and Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.The Feature and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Rachel of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to meet more new bloggers!
What sets this Hop apart from others, is that our hosts feature two blogs. Every week they will each showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow both their featured as well as our lovely hosts as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your Feature and follow post. I prefer being followed via e-mail, RSS / Bloglovin’ or Google+; or you can like my facebook page, or even follow me on Twitter.
What’s your favorite Thanksgiving food? If you’re not American, what’s your favorite Holiday food?
As I am not American, and there is no Thanksgiving here in Europe, I went with fave food from a different holiday. My favorite holiday food is Norwegian Christmas dinner of juleribbe. It always makes me enter a complete Christmas mood when I smell it cooking for hours in the oven, and I also love everything it’s served with! Juleribbe is a whole side of porc, and it’s served with small potatoes, red kraut, Bruxelles sprouts, meat-balls, Christmas sausage and a selection of other veggies if wanted. Here’s a picture that had me salivating – good thing I’m going to Norway for Christmas this year!
What’s your favorite Holiday or Thanksgiving food? Please leave me a link to your feature and follow post below so I can visit you back 🙂 And Happy black Friday to all my American friends 🙂
Thanks for stopping by today, have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend.
Yum, that looks very similar to a meal that I can get at the local German Bier Cafe! I love pumpkin, but we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here in Australia so I don’t get all the goodies you guys do.
Really, I had no idea the Germans made that kind of food as well. Very interesting 🙂
Thanks for stopping by Jeann.
Oh nice!
Here’s my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Yeah, I can’t wait! And it’s made me so hungry to read all the other #FF posts today 😀
Thanks for stopping by Jessica.
Omg! That looks delicious!
It makes me hungry just to think about that delicious meal!!
Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Oh that looks incredible! I would love to give it a try sometime. I’m not a huge turkey fan, which is traditional for Thanksgiving and Christmas in my family, so I’m always looking for something new to try at Christmas time.
Thanks for stopping by and I posted my French Silk Pie recipe for you in my comment reply on my site if you want to grab it 😀
Have a great weekend Lexxie!
It’s actually very, very good, and not too difficult to cook either. I’ll see if I can find a recipe if your interested, Traci.
I’ll come over to check out your French Silk Pie recipe for sure 🙂 Thanks for sharing it.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Oh yes please! I would love the recipe 🙂

~Pam @ Moonlight Reader
I agree, so many new discoveries with blogging 🙂
Thanks for stopping by Pam 🙂
It looks delicious! I am a big fan of pumpkin pie. A little boring, but always tasty! 🙂
I love everything pumpkin, too, even if it’s not as common here as it is in the US. Thanks for stopping by Pamela 🙂
That really sounds heavenly, Lexxie! I can see why it would put you in the holiday mood. 🙂
I’m not sure what my favorite holiday food would be but I’m going to go with pecan pie. I love Thanksgiving – probably because I love autumn – and I love spending the day in the kitchen cooking. 🙂 But I really love having a lovely meal with my family as we reflect on what we’re thankful for.
I hope your Friday was fantastic, my dear! See you tomorrow! *hugs*
Pecan Pie is definitely yummy as well. But I’m more of a main course kind of girl – even if I do love dessert, too. I love autumn as well, it’s so beautiful and crisp, full of colors and change.
My Friday was great, and the weekend will be, too! Thanks for stopping by my dear. *hugs*
OMG! Aside from books, food is another weakness of mine and that juleribbe picture is making me salivate. Is it possible to virtually send that? Hahaha.
We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving too. We, Filipinos, only celebrate an imitation of it when someone passes a Licensure exam or anything related to that. Since I am a food lover, I could never exactly say that I love a particular food. But maybe let’s just go with Ice cream. I mean, I never celebrated an occasion without it. And I can finish half a gallon of ice cream within a straight of 2-3 hours.
And an early bon voyage to you, Lexxie. I can almost feel your excitement in going home. Have a safe weekend. :3
Me, too, Charlotte! It’s yet another reason why I love traveling, too. Because I get to taste food that isn’t common where I live 🙂
I agree, ice-cream is good for every occasion – both sad and joyous! And I can totally try to virtually send you some juleribbe at Christmas.
Thanks for the travel-wishes, I really look forward to spending a few days in Norway, surrounded by my whole family!
Have a wonderful weekend, Charlotte, thanks for stopping by!
Wow, you favorite holiday food sounds amazing! I love learning about different cultures! I’m American, and I love that I have a European Bloggy Friend! Thanks for sharing Lexxie 🙂
You might have more European Bloggy Friends than you know, Lindy! I agree, actually finding new friends thanks to the blogging community is awesome 🙂
Thanks for stopping by 🙂
We do not eat turkey on Thanksgiving! We eat chicken, and I love my grandfather’s style of dressing. I have to say that it is what I look forward to every holiday season.
I prefer chicken to turkey, too 🙂
