Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.
STS #294
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:
Thank you the authors, publishers and NetGalley 🙂
The Sunday Post #234 – Weekend Wrap-up
Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
This week was pretty tough, and I’m so happy it’s the weekend! And here’s to next week being awesome 🙂 However, Thursday being my last day of work – this is how I spent my Thursday evening, since it’s already my weekend:

The weather is cooling down a little bit, and we’re finally getting some fall colors. The puppies love playing with the leaves in the yard – especially Hercules is so happy running around in the rustling sound they make.

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!
Looks like a good way to end the week! 🙂 And wow- 2 months left of the decade. that’s true, isn’t it? I hadn’t really thought of that!
Ooh Two Can Keep A Secret was fun.
When I thought about it, I couldn’t fully wrap my head around it. Time flies.
I’m glad Two Can Keep a Secret was good – I look forward to reading. it.
can you take a closer photo of your wine? Please, I would like to know what’s written on it
It’s a local wine from here, it’s called Château du Crest.

very vintage feel! The lable looks unique and hope the wine went well with the book
Thanks Ailyn! I think any wine goes well with any book 😉 but that’s just me…
OOh nice! Hope you enjoy your long weekend! All totally new to me reads too! I hope you enjoy them all!
My StS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Thanks, Jessica. I’ve been working quite a bit to prepare my lessons for next week, but I have been able to relax some as well. I hope you’re enjoying your weekend!
Cheers to celebrating the last day of work. I dream of that day, though not because of my job, but more because of my commute. I love McManus and enjoyed Two Can Keep a Secret. I hope you like it too.
Yeah, work has been tough lately, I feel like I should celebrate every week 🙂 I love my job, but sometimes, a little break is necessary.
I’m happy to hear you enjoyed Two Can Keep a Secret – I really look forward to it.
Another decade soon to be under the belt. Our fall colors and weather arrived last weekend about the same time. 🙂 All so pretty before a big rain and wind storm knocked all the leaves down. Your dogs would have a blast playing in the leaf piles. 🙂 Glad you finished early from your busy week.
It’s really strange to me to think that we’ll be starting the third decade of this millenium. I remember so clearly when I was younger, and we thought everything was going to change (for the better) in the 21st century.
We have that rain and wind today – the leaves are falling off, and it looks dismal out there.
Cheers to more evenings like your Thursday. Love that wine glass!
I enjoyed One True Loves…have a great new week.
Here are my Weekly Updates
Thanks, Laurel-Rain. Those kinds of evenings are very important for my sanity, that’s for sure. Have a great week yourself 🙂

We barely got any color before so many fell. We had a gale go through a couple of nights ago. I’d not seen Two Can Keep a Secret but it looks good! As always, I enjoyed your puppy pictures. Enjoy your weekend!
I think the same is happening here right now, Lorna. The leaves started changing color beautifully, and today, we have so much rain and strong winds it’s not even funny.
I only read my first Karen McManus book this past week, and I really enjoyed it, so of course, I had to get more of her books.
Thanks for stopping by!
We are just reaching the Fall temperatures here and I hope we will see some colors soon. It has been a while since I saw pictures of your doggos and I am glad I did now. I hope you have a great week ahead.
I hope you’ll get some beautiful colors, too, Gayathri! I’m glad my dog pics made you happy 🙂
I hope you will enjoy your purchases.
Thank you 🙂 I hope so, too!
Wine and books the perfect combination! I hope you enjoy your new books and the week ahead 🙂
Thanks Danica 🙂 I agree – having some good wine and a book while relaxing after a taxing week is the best combination ever.
We went straight from summer to winter. October 1st it was 94 F and on Halloween it was 32 F. Enjoy your new reads!!
Holy short fall, Samantha! That’s awful! I hope you’re doing well 🙂
Oh I love this glass, ahah !
Happy you get to enjoy pretty fall colors ? we are getting some « winter-like » cold already ? I wouldn’t be surprised if I catch some snow falling anytime soon – errh.
That cover for the gypsy king is gorgeous!
🙂 I’m so happy Felicia made it for her fellow bloggers this past summer!
Oh wow – snow already? I’m definitely not ready for that.
Yep.. we definately saw some snow in october last year – thanksfully it didn’t stayed but you know ?
This year in august I saw some hail when I was at work !!! Everybody flipped and threw themselves looking outside ahahah but couldn’t get a picture :/
When I lived in Norway, I was used to getting snow whenever… In June, in August – kind of like Canada, I guess. However, here in Geneva, we don’t usually get snow until late December, and even then, it usually doesn’t stay for more than a few days.
Ahhh im not a fan of snow.. so i’d very much like that! Though apparently snowing make it so it’s less cold? Mmh..
We have humidity all through winter, and I sometimes feel colder here than I do in Norway, so that might very well be true!
Oh look. Just as I said that it started snowing ??? I called it, ahaha
LOL
We finally have cooler weather here. I like it Gypsy King was highly rated by one of my other friends I was so impressed with Kennedy Ryan at Book Bonanza; I want to read her work soon. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead after a 3 day weekend (?). Happy reading!
Anne – Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post
I love Devney Perry so much, so I really look forward to reading Gypsy King! I have read almost all of Kennedy Ryan’s books after BookBonanza, and I can’t recommend her books enough, Anne! I’m sure you’ll enjoy her work, too.
Oh my goodness – I really hadn’t considered that it was the start of a new decade in just under a couple of months… back in my day a decade used to last a whole TEN years, I’m sure the modern ones have been downsized. I hope the coming week is a lot less tough!
Ha! I agree, these short decades are very confusing, aren’t they? 😀
That looks like a great way of starting your weekend! 😉
Yes.. a new decade! Crazy right?!
Have a great week and happy reading!
Yeah, it was exactly what I needed after last week, Maureen 🙂
I can’t believe a new decade is starting so soon. Time flies way too fast these days.
I can’t even believe how fast this year has gone. The pups are as cute as ever. You added some great books this week. I still need to get my hands on Two Can Keep a Secret. I hope you enjoy all of your new additions and have a great week!
I so agree, Carole. It feels like we just celebrated the new year.
I recently read the first McManus book and really enjoyed it – so I knew I wanted to get this one, too.
The pups are looking super cute and I am really curious about The Gypsy King. Can’t wait to give it a try. Hope you have a great week!
Devney Perry is such a good writer – I had Gypsy King on preorder 🙂
Nice kindle case! Your dogs are adorable.
Devney Perry has been on my TBR for a while, I like the look of Gypsy King. Hope you enjoy!
