Stacking The Shelves #23 – Squee for The Forever Song

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Participating in Stacking The Shelves has helped me to keep better track of books I’m adding to my huge TBR pile every week, and I think I have gotten a little better at not adding too many books every single week. Participating in this blog-hop has also introduced me to more new blogs, and some weeks, I add more books to my ‘might-read-one-day’ shelf than I should, but before I actually have the books on my kindle, nothing has been decided yet.

Blogtour ARCs:

Face Time cover - (un)Conventional BookviewsFace Time (Love in the Digital Age #1) – S.J. Pajonas   I’m not actually participating in a blogtour for Face Time, but Lola of Lola’s Blogtours offered me the chance to read an ARC since I participated in the cover reveal.

After the best first date ever, Lee thought Laura was funny, intelligent, and impulsive; a whirlwind of bright laughter and happiness. Laura loved Lee’s sweet smile and the way he expertly filled in every awkward pause. He held her hand and then pulled her in for the most perfect kiss she’s had in years. What could possibly be wrong? Just the 7000 miles that separates them the next day.
Even though Lee has gone home to Seoul, Laura can’t stop thinking about him. What starts as an innocent text thanking him for their dinner date becomes something much more: someone either of them can’t live without. But Laura’s got a live-in mother going through a midlife crisis, and Lee’s stressful traveling schedule means they’ll be apart for some time. Life, family, and a complicated past also get in the way, and they’re both going to need actual face time to figure it out.

Remember to leave me your link so I can check out your Stacking the Shelves post, too 🙂 Thanks for stopping by! Have a spectacular Saturday.

    • Yeah, The Forever Song was truly amazing. I loved every word, even if I was completely shocked in several instances, and I cried a bucket for Julie’s muse.

      Thanks for stopping by, Grace.

    • I only read the 7th Mercy book a little while ago, and it was good, I look forward to more 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by, Melliane.

    • Julie Kagawa is on of my favorite authors, Elen. If you enjoy paranormal, you should definitely check out one of her series – they are all great.

      Thanks for stopping by 🙂

    • I love reading about faeries, so that whole series is one I loved, too. The Blood of Eden series is more paranormal, and it’s very, very dark. I loved that one too.

      Thanks for stopping by, Belinda.

    • Patricia Briggs is awesome, there are always really great female characters – and I love reading about women who can take care of themselves 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by, Nikki.

    • I’m not in the US either, but I somehow got accepted anyway… And I’m very happy about it 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by Cait.

    • I don’t think I’ve ever written a review as vague as the one for The Forever Song, Shelley… I hate spoilers with a passion myself, so I’d never want to spoil anything for another reader.

      Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Jessica @ a GREAT read

OOh nice reads!! I got The Forever Song too! Although, I’m only halfway through and since I have relatives in town this weekend, might not get back to it until Monday! Oh well! It will make Monday more bearable at least!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

    • I don’t think I’ve read Reese and Alice’s story… *runs to check TBR pile*

Thanks for stopping by, Terri 🙂

    • I agree 🙂 I don’t pay attention to covers when I pick what books choose, but I love having beautiful covers in my STS posts.

      Thanks for stopping by, Jen.

    • I hadn’t realized that either, Stephanie, it was recommended to me by amazon… Can’t wait to read it!

      Thanks for stopping by 🙂

    • So far, I think I’ve loved every single book written by Kagawa! The Blood of Eden series is truly awesome 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by, Jennifer.

    • I still had most of the happenings of the first books pretty clearly in my memory – I’m a HUGE JKagawa fan 🙂 And The Forever Song blew me away.

      Thanks for stopping by, Bieke.

    • Congrats on the domain change, I hope it will make things easier for you.

I know what you mean about schedules! I couldn’t resist The Forever Song, though… I just had to know what was up.

      Thanks for stopping by, Braine.

  2. SO much goodness there! I usually LOVE Singh’s novellas (which is strange in itself b/c I don’t generally like novellas at all), and I’ve been seeing so much of The Forever Song that it looks like I’m going to have to dust off the other two book on my shelf and read them in time for its release 😉

    • I usually love Singh’s novellas, too, although I’m not usually a big fan either. You should definitely read the first two books in the Blood of Eden series, Jessica, it’s really, really good!

      Thanks for stopping by.

  3. I still haven’t started the Blood of Eden series, although I do own the first book. I am glad to hear the series is complete now, so that if I enjoy the first book I know I don’t have to wait on the next books in the series.
I also got Face Time this week and already read it, it even got me in a reading slump, because I loved it so much!
I hope you enjoy your new books!

    • I’m glad you enjoyed Face Time so much, even if it’s not good that it put you off of other books for a while!
I think you’ll enjoy the Blood of Eden series, it’s really, really good.

      Thanks for stopping by, Lola.

  4. Amy

I’ve wanted to read both The Blood Of Eden & The Beautiful Creatures series for ages now, but haven’t had the chance yet. They both sounds so amazing! And Face Time looks like a really unique love story – hopefully with a happy ending! I’ll keep a look out for your review on that one 🙂
