Review: Touch & Go – Mira Lyn Kelly

Review: Touch & Go – Mira Lyn Kelly

Touch & Go is extremely hot, and I loved how Sam and Ava had been friends since they were kids, both of them hanging on to their friendship when their hormones told them there could be much more for them in store. Touch & Go is one of the best friends to lovers romances I have ever had the pleasure of reading! Sam and Ava had chemistry galore, but they were both hiding behind their long friendship, until that just wasn’t possible anymore. When Sam agreed to be Ava’s ‘date’ to a party at her workplace, to keep a colleague from continuing to try to pick her up, they shared one of the hottest kisses in history, and let’s just […]

Review: Once and Again – Elisabeth Barrett

Review: Once and Again – Elisabeth Barrett

Second-chance romances are the absolute best! And Once and Again was both nostalgic, sweet, hot and well done! Once and Again is filled with nostalgia, but there is also an underlying tension that isn’t all positive, especially in the beginning. Carolyn had a pretty easy childhood, her parents were well off, and if she visited the golf club, it was as a guest. One summer, she fell for one of the caddie’s and they had a short, but hot relationship – until her father caught them and sent the young man away in handcuffs. Years later, Carolyn is down on her luck, her father has lost all their money, and she’s working as an event organizor at the golf club […]

Review: Mercury Striking – Rebecca Zanetti

Review: Mercury Striking – Rebecca Zanetti

Mercury Striking is a very powerful dystopia suspense novel, where most technology is down, and what is left of humanity is fighting against a horrible bacteria for survival. Fast paced, filled with suspense and distrust, Mercury Striking is among the best dystopia novels I have ever had the pleasure to read! Zanetti managed her world building by sharing the characters’ knowledge little by little, and in this bleak universe, only the very strong and courageous will be able to keep on going. Lynne Harmony has been on the run for a few months, with only one goal in mind – find a way to help people live with the virus without becoming senseless Rippers in the process. And to do […]

Review: Hearts and Flour – Tara Lain

Review: Hearts and Flour – Tara Lain

Hearts and Flour is a sweet and sexy story, with so many food-quotes I’m still trying to count them all 🙂 Micah and Quentin happen to meet each other at a un-Valentine party for single people… while Micah has always known he’s gay, there is something about one of the girls at the party that really touches him, and he understand why when he realizes Quentin sometimes likes to dress like a girl. They have a very hot and heavy encounter, and they both want more. However, Micah just got out of a very toxic relationship, and Quentin isn’t exactly out of the closet yet – neither as gay, nor as a man who enjoys women’s clothing and make-up every […]

Audio Review: Closer – Dannika Dark

Audio Review: Closer – Dannika Dark

Even if Closer is set in the Mageri universe, which I know and love, it took me a while to invest with the story, since most of it happened over the span of just a few hours, and Kane and Caroline were the only characters. Closer is a strange little story, where most of the action happens inside of Caroline’s head, while she is unconscious. She’s not hallucinating, either, what happens is actually as reals as can be. Kane was on his way home, just needing the paper before he brought his beers home, when a stranger brushed by him and made him lose his last quarter. As a sensor, Kane could feel the man’s emotions, and also feel some […]

Audio Review: Charming – Dannika Dark

Audio Review: Charming – Dannika Dark

Charming is a story in the Seven series, and it was delightful to get to know Prince better… I thought he was so ornery, but getting to understand him made a big difference. Prince was really the one character I already knew when I started listening to Charming, and I really enjoyed him. I was intrigued by Nadia at first, but she also came across as both bitchy and quite distant, especially after I got to know her twin sister Kat… She is a strong woman, and Alpha, and she listens to her instincts that tell her their dad is still alive, even if he has been missing for ten years. As a bounty hunter, she thinks she’s on the […]

Review: Back in Black – Lori Foster

Review: Back in Black – Lori Foster

Back in Black is filled with hot fighters, strong-willed women, romance and quite a bit of action. Back in Black was like time-travel for me, as I have read all Foster’s Ultimate stories, and the SBC Fighters series include some characters that show up there as well. Gillian and Drew were both great characters, and I loved the chemistry between them. However, there was another couple that started their romance as well, Brett and Audrey, and the fact that I had to follow two couples instead of just one made me feel like I didn’t really get fully invested in either of them. Don’t take me wrong – all four characters were great, and I enjoyed their interactions as well […]

Blogtour Review: Tackling the Tight End – Tara Lain

Blogtour Review: Tackling the Tight End – Tara Lain

Welcome to my stop on the Tackling the Tight End blogtour. I have my review and favorite quotes as usual, and there are other goodies here for me to share with you as well! This Blogtour is hosted by Enchantress Design and Promo. Tackling the Tight End is the third instalment in Lain’s Long Pass Chronicles series, and it features the ‘bad guy’ from the first book as one of the main characters. The story is filled with conflict, both external and internal, and it was sweet in some moments, and pretty dark in others. At the beginning of Tackling the Tight End, I had a little bit of trouble getting into the story being about Dennis, he was such […]

Review: Dirty English – Ilsa Madden-Mills

Review: Dirty English – Ilsa Madden-Mills

Dirty English is dark and gritty, beautiful and hopeful, and has some very interesting and complex characters. I have to admit I cried, because Elizabeth had truly been through hell, but then, so had Declan – even if that was a different kind of hell. From the beginning of Dirty English, I knew I was going to enjoy this story! The prologue made me cry – Elizabeth’s hell was very personal, and also something that was shared against her will with several people. However, once the first chapter opened, and she was in college, moving in to her new apartment, next to a guy who had old classics in a box by his door, I just knew it was my […]

Review: Wicked Lust – Sawyer Bennett

Review: Wicked Lust – Sawyer Bennett

Wicked Lust is so hot my kindle almost melted, and yet, there is also a real story and a plot that is a complete page-turner! Sawyer Bennett has her hot, erotic scenes down pat, I needed an electric fan to cool down so I could continue reading Wicked Lust! And on top of that her characters are multifaceted and complex, the story and the plot well done, and I just couldn’t get enough! There is plenty of very kinky sex, and my eyes almost popped out a few times – but it didn’t shock me enough to stop me from reading 😉 And as I said, there was a real, solid story around all the sexiness, and that made Wicked […]
