The Sunday Post #47 – Weekly Wrap-up
Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
I had a busy week with teaching this week, and it’s always a little difficult when following someone else’s program. The students all seem like good kids, and they were working really well, so I’m thinking next week will be a good one.
On Friday evening, my husband, the kids and I went out for dinner, and on our walk home, the sky was exploding with colors. It was so beautiful, and the picture below is actually taken with my phone – no filters or changes made!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!
I hope you have an awesome school year!!
Thanks Lyn 🙂
Oh, that sky is gorgeous! I’m glad the teaching went well and I hope the upcoming week does too.
I hope it’ll be a good week, too, Bea. I have four different classes, so I won’t really get to know any of the students in the two short weeks I’ll be around, though 🙁
That’s awesome that you have a good class! WOOT! 😀 I can imagine it’d be awful to teach an unfamiliar program on an awful class…so I hope things continue to go awesomely smoothly for you.
Yeah, it always helps to have students who actually wants to work on their English 😀
That picture is amazing, I love colourful evening skies like that. And well captured, anytime I try to photo the sky with my phone, it always looks very unimpressive compared to what my eyes are seeing. Good to hear your class went well. I’m all for an awesome week, bring it on! 😀
Thank you Trish 🙂 I was very happy the pic turned out so well with my phone! I would have been really sad if I had only gotten a tiny blob of color and then nothing else.
Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Oh what a great view that you captured!! Teaching can be such a good experience and I hope this week goes good for you.
That’s a really beautiful view Lexxie, it’s so lovely going out for a walk sometimes! Sounds like you had a busy week of teaching. Have a great week ahead!
Glad you’re feeling positive about the week ahead Lexxie. It must be hard inheriting someone else’s lesson plan.
And what a beautiful sunset. (And you probably walked off dinner! So you won all round!!!).
Deb
Beautiful pic! And how fun you could walk from home. Sometimes you get the best views when you least expect it. 🙂
Enjoy your week!!
Lovely sky. We had a similar one last night. Should have grabbed my phone and snapped some shots too!
Sounds like school is off to a good start. Have fun!
I love sunrises and sunsets and that’s a beautiful one, Lexxie. I hope next week’s teaching goes well. And you have some good looking reviews coming up. I’m reading Sideswiped right now!
I am absolutely in love with that photo! I wish we could get that kind of view here, but skies like that have been scarce lately with the rainy/typhoon season here in the Philippines. And good luck with teaching! I’m sure you don’t need it, though, because you’ll be great through and through!
That is such a lovely picture of the sky. Have a good week!
Gorgeous sky! How great to capture nature in those magical moments.
It’s also great that you had a good week with the students…may each week be better than the last.
Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog. I am off to check out some of those links!
Beautiful picture! I am trying to enjoy the last bit of summer. It went by so fast! My mom is a teacher and her school starts on Wednesday but the schools around me started last week. Kind of sad that summer is pretty much over. Hope your school year is fantastic!
Such a pretty picture!! I hope this week is a great one for you! 🙂

Love the image of the night sky. It is amazing what our phones can do. Glad you have a good group of kids. Have a lovely day and week!
You walked home from dinner?! That is absolutely fabulous! I wish we could do that and get the night time show you get 🙂
Good luck teaching again next week!
What a beautiful sky, I love it when you look up and it is so beautiful!
Have a lovely week!
That is a beautiful picture! Our night sky rarely looks like that (it must be all the smog we have). It sounds like you are off to a good start for the school year. It is always hard picking up where someone left off. Have a great week!
I can only admire those who do substitute teaching, I’d be no good at it. I loved teaching and establishing a good rapport with students in my class, but doing what you do, just feels very daunting.
Want to try Ilona Andrews series, everyone rates them highly.
Lovely photo. I try to make it a point to check out the sunset every day and not take the beauty for granted. Hope you are enjoying the Kate Daniels series. I love it.

Oh my gosh! It’s gorgeous! We are truly blessed to get to experience nature at it’s fullest. I hope this coming week is good for you and your class 🙂
I’m glad you had a nice first week of school. And wow, that picture is beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
That *is* a gorgeous sky, Lexxie! 🙂 I’m glad you’ve gotten the first week under your belt. This week should be cake. LOL I hope we can find time to chat soon. We have some catching up to do. 😀 The KA signing on Saturday was fun. She’s just such a neat person. I’m putting together a post about it – want to share more Rock Chick love. **BIG HUGS**
Stunning site. Thank you for sharing your wonderful sunset with us. Beautiful!
Best wishes for continuing a good class.
Sounds difficult to teach on someone else’s program, but that’s good news the students are nice. Hopefully next week will be even better! That sunset picture is beautifull! I love seeing the sunset, we have a nice view here as we live on the thrid floor, so that often means we can see sunsets from our window. I hope you’ll have good week!

Good Luck with the couple weeks you have with the kids.
I love when the sky looks like that always means it’s going to be such a beautiful day the next day.
Have a great week Lexxie, Happy Reading!
Such a beautiful sunset, I never tire of watching those 🙂 I hope this week is being as good as you were wishing ? Bisous :-*
