ONE KISS CAN LAST FOREVER
Becca Thorpe has uprooted her life and escaped to the beach. Now's her chance to get away from city living, throw caution to the ocean winds, and live in the moment. Especially if the moment includes the deliciously sexy surfer she meets shortly after arriving in Lucky Harbor. Something about the dark intensity of Sam's eyes and the thrill she gets at his touch convinces her to stay awhile.

Boatbuilder and investment genius Sam Brody is a self-made man who knows how dangerous it can be to mix business and pleasure. But he can't resist offering Becca a job just to hear her laugh and have her near. Yet when her brother comes to town asking for help, will he tempt her back to her glamorous life in the city? Or do Sam and little Lucky Harbor have a chance to win Becca's heart?

Hot, sweet and romantic, It’s In His Kiss is an awesome new installment in the Lucky Harbor series.

My It’s In His Kiss review:

It’s In His Kiss is incredibly sweet and filled with longing. Becca has arrived in Lucky Harbor to try to patch her life back together, and she has quite a few issues she needs to work through. But Sexy Grumpy Surfer aka Sam makes it difficult for Becca to focus, which leads to quite a few funny and hot scenes. As usual, the sense of community in Lucky Harbor reaches out to Becca, too, and soon she finds herself not only with her job of writing jingles, but also as a receptionist slash manager for Sam, Tanner and Cole’s charter company and a music teacher at the rec center thanks to Lucille. And Lucille makes for some excellent comic relief, both when it’s needed and when it’s not.

Sam had a very tough childhood, and he’s been in some hard times in his adult life as well, but on the outside, he’s successful with his company and with his friends. He hadn’t really counted on Becca coming into his life and turning everything upside-down, though. And Becca sure hadn’t thought Lucky Harbor would be just the safe haven she was seeking for, either.

There was plenty of chemistry between Becca and Sam from the very beginning, even if they were both reluctant to let anyone get close to them. Fate had other plans, though, and that chemistry became friendship, hot sex, and some very nice romantic moments. I enjoyed the character development for both Becca and Sam, they both had to deal with their past even when the didn’t want to it, as the people they were trying to stay away from showed up right in Lucky Harbor. The long road to forgiveness was both painful and beautiful, and utterly worth it in the end.

If you are looking for a hot romance that has characters worth to get knowing, with real-life trouble but still lots of sweetness, It’s In His Kiss is the book for you!

Some of my favorite It’s In His Kiss quotes:

Staying out of the rut she’d just climbed out of, for another. And a life. She wanted – needed – a life. Employment would be good, too, since she was fond of eating.

Problem number two. She was going to have to ask someone for help, which wasn’t exactly her strong suit. It wasn’t even a suit of hers at all.

He grinned. “Nice. What are you working on now?” She hesitated, nibbling on her lower lip again. “Diaxis.” “Which is…?” She blew out a sigh. “An erectile dysfunction med.” He laughed. “And you’re having a… hard time?”

“You know what you are, Sam Brody?” she whispered, wrapping her arms around his neck. “A big, fat tease.” They both knew there wasn’t an ounce of fat on him. They also both knew exactly what she meant.

    • She definitely got really busy, Jaclyn. And at the same time, that helped her to be included in the community of Lucky Harbor and feel at home there 🙂 Slow romances are the best! The tension is so yummy.
      Thanks for stopping by.

    • This series is one of my go-to series for when I’m craving contemporary romance, Red Iza 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.

    • *hugs* Braine! If you are looking for some feel-good stories, either a Lucky Harbor story by Jill Shalvis, a Whiskey Creek novel by Brenda Novak or The Kowalski Family series by Shannon Stacey is what you need!
      Thanks for stopping by 🙂

    • Yes, I love this series, Wendy. Contemporary romances make me happy, and Lucky Harbor is a great place to visit.

  1. The sense of community is one of the biggest reasons I want to give this series a try, Lexxie. I love a series set in one location where we get to know so many folks in the town. Sam and Becca do seem like a couple I’d like to meet, and root for, as well. 🙂 Someday, Lex…someday I’ll get to reading Shalvis. 😉

Oh, and I think I’m ready to help you with your new crane. I giggled over you knowing I had a new one before you did! 😉 They can be tricky. LOL I hope you’re having a grand day!! **BIG HUGS**

    • hehe, with all the books I’ve pushed your way lately, I knew you had to have gotten a new crane, Brandee 😉
I’m sure you’ll love this series, it’s got the same kind of feel-good thing going on as the Whiskey Creek series does!
Thanks for stopping by, my dear. *BIG HUGS*
