Waiting on Wednesday #10 – Burying Water
Burying Water – K.A. Tucker
Left for dead in the fields of rural Oregon, a young woman defies all odds and survives—but she awakens with no idea who she is, or what happened to her. Refusing to answer to “Jane Doe” for another day, the woman renames herself “Water” for the tiny, hidden marking on her body—the only clue to her past. Taken in by old Ginny Fitzgerald, a crotchety but kind lady living on a nearby horse farm, Water slowly begins building a new life. But as she attempts to piece together the fleeting slivers of her memory, more questions emerge: Who is the next-door neighbor, quietly toiling under the hood of his Barracuda? Why won’t Ginny let him step foot on her property? And why does Water feel she recognizes him?
Twenty-four-year-old Jesse Welles doesn’t know how long it will be before Water gets her memory back. For her sake, Jesse hopes the answer is never. He knows that she’ll stay so much safer—and happier—that way. And that’s why, as hard as it is, he needs to keep his distance. Because getting too close could flood her with realities better left buried.
The trouble is, water always seems to find its way to the surface.
Why am I waiting on Burying Water, you wonder? Because K.A. Tucker is one of my favorite authors! She always manages to make my heart break, then help me put it back together, and I feel all the feels, all the time. Burying Water is scheduled to be released on October 7th.
Thanks for stopping by, have a fantastic Wednesday! Don’t forget to leave me a link in your comment so I can come and check out your Waiting on Wednesday post, too.
Hahaha. I definitely love Ten Tiny Breaths and One Tiny Lie. Still finding time to read Four Seconds To Lose and Five Ways to Fall.
You don’t have to wait though. The Burying Water ARC is already on NG. Just got approved 2 days ago. I am hoping that it will live to the reputation of the Ten Tiny Breaths series. <3333
I actually wasn’t approved for Burying Water, Charlotte *cries* so I do have to wait 🙂 I have loved all of the books in this series, they make me feel so strongly for the characters it’s amazing!
Thanks for stopping by, my dear 🙂
What??!!! NG is really really weird. I thought that I was going to be declined because my stats aren’t that impressive but was really surprised when I received the approval notification.
Yeah, I was a little disappointed, especially because my feedback ratio is 89%! I’ve been SO good 🙂 I’m really glad you got it, though, Charlotte. And I have it on pre-order.
I’ve been wanting to read books from this author forever! I must soon!
I love her writing, Jennifer 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.
Nice pick! Totally new to me! Hope you love it once you read it!
Here’s my WoW
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I have loved all the other KA Tucker stories I’ve read so far, so I am really looking forward to Burying Water, Jessica. Thanks for stopping by.
I’ve yet to read a K.A. Tucker book. Sounds good though.
My WoW.
If you like contemporary NA stories, you should check her out, Aarati 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.
I will read anything this woman writes. Great choice!
Yeah, me, too Stephanie 🙂 She’s awesome! Thanks for stopping by.
I am excited for this one too. hope that you get a chance to read it soon.
I have it on pre-order, so as soon as it’s released, it will arrive on my kindle 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Brandi 🙂
This sounds different. I hope you love it when you do get your hands on it. I hate it when I get denied for a book on NG, but don’t feel bad. It will be out before you know it.
I love KA Tucker, Grace! And I’m not feeling bad about being denied for it, it’s just strange, since I have been accepted for her books in the past, and they have all been solid five stars for me 🙂 It’s no big deal, though. Now I’ll read it on my own time table 😀
Thanks for stopping by!
This was my pick a few weeks ago. I really liked Ten Tiny Breaths, One Tiny Lie and Four Seconds to Lose and I can’t wait to read Five Ways To Fall. Burying Water sounds even more amazing than those books. I hope we’ll both enjoy it. 🙂
Great pick.
I saw this pass by on someone’s blog and I was immediately intrigued as well. This one and many of K.A. Tucker’s books are on my wishlist. Haven’t had a chance to check any book yet.. Hope you get it soon!
I totally love KA Tucker’s books, Jirrine! They are well written, with characters that seem so hopeless at times, but who manage to make it through a difficult situation anyway 🙂
Thanks for stopping by.
I haven’t read anything by KA Tucker(yet) but have Ten Tiny Breaths on my wishlist to read! The suspense and loss of memory makes this one sound just as great. Does she usually have romance in them as well? Thanks for putting this one on my radar. Happy Hump Day Lexxie! 🙂
Yes, there is usually romance in her books, and I love it! Thanks for stopping by, Kim 🙂
LOL I definitely hope you enjoy feeling all the feels. The synopsis is really good though. I love the memory issues for plot lines. Happy Reading! Jaclyn @ JC’s Book Haven.
You know I love feeling all the feels, Jaclyn 😀 I can’t wait to read this one! The memory loss will be interesting, as that is hit or miss for me 🙂
Thanks for stopping by.
Ah, another author on your favs list that I’ve yet to try. Tucker may have to wait til November. 😉 Burying Water sounds really good. I’ll make sure to put it on my tbr.

LOL, I’m sure I filled up your whole October reading list the other day, Brandee… and I could have totally continued 🙂 Do you need help with the crane?
