Waiting on Wednesday - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place to showcase a book we’re really looking forward to with bated breath! A new release in our favorite series, an exciting new title from a favorite author…

Waiting on Wednesday #10 – Burying Water

Burying Water cover - (un)Conventional Bookviews Burying Water – K.A. Tucker

Left for dead in the fields of rural Oregon, a young woman defies all odds and survives—but she awakens with no idea who she is, or what happened to her. Refusing to answer to “Jane Doe” for another day, the woman renames herself “Water” for the tiny, hidden marking on her body—the only clue to her past. Taken in by old Ginny Fitzgerald, a crotchety but kind lady living on a nearby horse farm, Water slowly begins building a new life. But as she attempts to piece together the fleeting slivers of her memory, more questions emerge: Who is the next-door neighbor, quietly toiling under the hood of his Barracuda? Why won’t Ginny let him step foot on her property? And why does Water feel she recognizes him?

Twenty-four-year-old Jesse Welles doesn’t know how long it will be before Water gets her memory back. For her sake, Jesse hopes the answer is never. He knows that she’ll stay so much safer—and happier—that way. And that’s why, as hard as it is, he needs to keep his distance. Because getting too close could flood her with realities better left buried.

The trouble is, water always seems to find its way to the surface.

Why am I waiting on Burying Water, you wonder? Because K.A. Tucker is one of my favorite authors! She always manages to make my heart break, then help me put it back together, and I feel all the feels, all the time. Burying Water is scheduled to be released on October 7th.

Thanks for stopping by, have a fantastic Wednesday! Don’t forget to leave me a link in your comment so I can come and check out your Waiting on Wednesday post, too.

  1. Hahaha. I definitely love Ten Tiny Breaths and One Tiny Lie. Still finding time to read Four Seconds To Lose and Five Ways to Fall.

You don’t have to wait though. The Burying Water ARC is already on NG. Just got approved 2 days ago. I am hoping that it will live to the reputation of the Ten Tiny Breaths series. <3333

    • I have loved all the other KA Tucker stories I’ve read so far, so I am really looking forward to Burying Water, Jessica. Thanks for stopping by.

    • I have it on pre-order, so as soon as it’s released, it will arrive on my kindle 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Brandi 🙂

    • I love KA Tucker, Grace! And I’m not feeling bad about being denied for it, it’s just strange, since I have been accepted for her books in the past, and they have all been solid five stars for me 🙂 It’s no big deal, though. Now I’ll read it on my own time table 😀
      Thanks for stopping by!

    • I totally love KA Tucker’s books, Jirrine! They are well written, with characters that seem so hopeless at times, but who manage to make it through a difficult situation anyway 🙂
      Thanks for stopping by.

    • You know I love feeling all the feels, Jaclyn 😀 I can’t wait to read this one! The memory loss will be interesting, as that is hit or miss for me 🙂
      Thanks for stopping by.

    • LOL, I’m sure I filled up your whole October reading list the other day, Brandee… and I could have totally continued 🙂 Do you need help with the crane?
Thanks for stopping by! *BIG HUGS*
