Weekend Wrap-up #311 – Spring, Sun and Confinement

Posted 26 April, 2020 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Memes, Wrap-up Posts / 27 Comments

Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #311

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Remember last week, when I had no books? Ha! I’ve totally added way too many books this week 😀 Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

One by One cover - (un)Conventional Bookworms - Weekend Wrap-upAlpha Night cover - (un)Conventional Bookworms - Weekend Wrap-upThe Girl Next Door cover - (un)Conventional Bookworms - Weekend Wrap-up

I already read – and totally loved Alpha Night. and I’m truly excited for both One by One and The Girl Next Door!

I’ve topped up on the rest of the books in the Demonica / Demonica Underworld series by Larissa Ione, and also the Lords of the Underworld series by Gena Showalter. Those two series were among my first paranormal / urban fantasy series, and it’s a big comfort to know I have lots of books in both series to read now 🙂

The Sunday Post #251 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

Another week of online teaching and learning. And getting papers partly written. And staying outside in the yard in the sun… The weeks definitely look a lot more the same than I’m used to – but we’re still lucky, since we have enough space to be able to be alone a little bit every day.

Freddy and Hercules look like they’re doing well! Lol. Glad things are going nice for you during all the crazy. And yay for completing a series! I know there is one series I still need to complete from an author…but when trying to shop online for them I am seeing half of them are out of print already! Now more than ever I need to shop at HPB! Lol. Hope all continues to go well for you!

Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones but I hope you will enjoy them all!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  2. I would love to hang out in your yard with the dogs while reading. Enjoy!

Your new books look tempting. The Ruth Ware book is going on my list. Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.

  3. I’ve been meaning to try something by Ruth Ware, but not sure where to start! Are you a fan already, or just giving it a try?

  4. It sure is great to have plenty of good books to read during this time. That’s awesome you loved Alpha Night and I hope the other two new books you got for review are great too. Are your dogs happy that you’re spending more time at home?

I didn’t realize there was a new Ruth Ware. Looks good. I can’t wait to read Alpha Night. Love the Lords of the Underworld and need to finish getting caught up on that one. Glad you’re steadily working with online teaching and papers. I think you’re right about having space to be a lone for a bit is a great thing.

    Have a good week, Linda!

I looove Jennifer L. Armentrout. I’m definitely checking out the ‘The Darkest Star’ review next.

I’m also so happy to be able to sit in our garden, or hide a little in my little library upstairs. Last year we were still living in this small apartment were being alone would have been imposible.

    Your dogs are to cute!

    Stay Safe and happy reading.

  7. It looks like the ideal place to read – and lovely to have such cute companions, Linda. I hope you have another peaceful, healthy week.

  8. Freddie’s face is so quizzical I love it! He’s definitely asking you a question in that picture. It’s always so nice to start a series that you really enjoy that has bunches of books to follow. I love when that happens. I hope you have a wonderful week!

  9. Hercules and Freddy look so relaxed haha! 🙂 And the weather has been nice here too. It’s nice to finally have some sun and warm temps! Hope you have a great week ahead and stay safe and well!

  10. Cute puppers! I’m hoping the weather warms up a bit here soon. I was excited to get an ARC for Jennifer Armentrout’s second book in the Harbinger (I think?) series. I read Storm & Fury last year, and Rage & Ruin is coming out in a couple months 🙂 Stay safe!

  11. I think I own four or five Ruth Ware books, and I don’t think I’ve read any of them. My husband and I give each other space throughout the day too. It’s so necessary! Stay safe and happy reading!

  12. The days do tend to blur together. I have to think about what day it is. I bet the pups are loving all the extra time you have with them.

I’ve never heard of the Demonica Underworld series. Are the books any good?
