Weekend Wrap-up #308 – It’s Time to Spring Up

Posted 28 March, 2020 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Memes, Wrap-up Posts / 27 Comments

Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #308

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

These were also kind of gifted to me by Brandee, as I used the giftcard she also gave me for my birthday to purchase them (and this means I haven’t broken my Unearthing a Bookish Bounty vow, too.)

My dearest bloggerwife gifted this one to me last week for my birthday. Thanks again, Brandee! I can’t wait to start buddy-reading it with you! <3

The Sunday Post #248 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

Another weird week, staying home, teaching online, trying to read, and also trying to write some of my papers for uni… The weather has been up and down – rather chilly, but today is gorgeous! We’re also switching to summer time this weekend, and I just wish we could finally choose one time and stick with it all year long!

Everything is blooming in the yard, and I just took a picture outside with one of my favorite books to share with you 🙂

This Week’s Puppies in Action:

Hercules and Freddy were playing here – but it was hard to get them in actual movement…

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

Oh yay for lots of books and not breaking the no buying vow! I hope you enjoy all the new lovelies!

We’re getting closer to spring here ourselves. Though Spring has technically sprung our weather hasn’t quite caught on yet. Yesterday was warm and today will be too and then after that we get into more spring like temps. The super cold days may just be behind us. 🙁 Lol. Definitely a colder weather person than hot. We’ve reached that cusp where the weather is mostly tolerable but you never know when it’s going to change.

Hope all continues to go well with your online teaching. I imagine that’s a bit different than the regular way. Happy Reading!

My StS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    • I know! It made me so happy to buy some books, and still keep my promise to myself 🙂
I prefer cooler weather than really hot, too, but it’s really nice to see everything blooming. At least something is still normal around here.
Thanks for stopping by Jessica 🙂

Guilt free gift card purchasing. That’s so great. I love that you had a nice day to read outside. It’s a bit back and forth weather-wise here, too.

    Have a good week, Linda!

  3. Nice haul! I am a big fan of the Legend series, and I am also excited for the new Shalvis. That series has been getting better and better with each book. Hope you love them all

  4. I love that springtime is here, even with all this virus stuff going on. At least we can still go outside and enjoy nature! Take care this week and stay well!

  5. Yes… the clocks going forward was almost a minor detail in all the upheaval. We have had a run of lovely sunny weather here, too – but there is a bitterly cold easterly blowing at present. Have a peaceful, healthy week, Linda.

  6. I switch to teaching remotely this week. I’m a bit nervous. I’ve been meaning to read The 57 Bus. It sounds so sad but interesting. Stay safe and happy reading!

  7. I really don’t like the clock change to “summer time” either. Just keep it one way or the other already! Politicians constantly make noises about doing so but they never actually do it! *sigh*

At Peace was one of the first Kristen Ashley books I read and I adored it too! A re-read of a favourite could be exactly what I need right now too… Thanks for the inspiration!

  8. It’s been raining almost all week here, I’d really like some sun especially since Daylight saving ends this week.
    Enjoy all those new books!

Wishing you a great reading week and good health

Great book haul – without buying, IMPRESSIVE! Happy birthday again!! What a strange time we’re living through, huh? Stay safe. Sending you Elbow hugs!

  10. I enjoyed the Trevor Noah book on audio, he narrated it also. I want the Summer Deal but also will wait for the audio. I hope you are settling into a new routine of sorts I’m not yet but my daughter’s classes start this week so I’m hoping to do better.

Have a healthy, safe week and happy reading!

  11. I so agree with you about summer or winter time. But I fear it will take some years before the final decision is made here in Germany. Stay safe and healthy!
