Can You Read a Series in a Month? Review ~ Tragic ~ Devney Perry

Tragic is a worthy installment in this series. It packed a lot of feels – laughter, growls, tears – they all made appearances often. Piper and Kaine were magical together and watching them fall for one another was good stuff. We met Piper in Tattered as she’s Logan’s assistant. I knew then she was a character I wanted to get to know better. Her story was worth the wait. She’s moved to Lark Cove for a fresh start following an ugly divorce. Piper’s a fighter, though. Lark Cove is good for Piper and I enjoyed watching her blossom in the sun and fresh mountain air. Her meeting with Kaine was something. LOL These two…well, they were explosive to say the […]

Review ~ Still ~ Kennedy Ryan

Review ~ Still ~ Kennedy Ryan

Still picks up where Grip left off and I couldn’t imagine what else life could throw at Bristol and Grip. After all they’d been though and endured it felt like they should have had some time to coast. And while in some ways they were able to capitalize on their successes and enjoy some relative calm, fate had a little more to toss in their path. Grip is enjoying huge success in his musical career but after enduring a childhood in Compton as well as others trying to squash his achievements, he’s determined to make a difference socially. He’s taking classes towards his degree and has the opportunity to take a class taught by someone he truly admires – a […]

Review ~ Next in Line ~ Amy Daws #unearthingabookishbounty

I think I loved Next in Line even more than Wait With Me! There were plenty of laughs, of course, but there was something about Maggie that resonated with me. Witnessing the romance between her and Sam blossom was moving as well as humorous and HOT! Maggie is in Boulder on a mission. She wants to be more adventurous…to find her inner-explorer. This mission was spurred by her boyfriend calling her basic and breaking up with her. On Christmas Day. Anyway, she finds herself at a bait shop because nothing says adventurous like…ice fishing. 😉 Luckily, she happens upon a handsome guy who not only defends her honor but also agrees to serve as her guide. Sam is nothing if […]

Review ~ Wait With Me ~ Amy Daws #(un)EarthingaBookishBounty

Wait With Me was the perfect quarantine…er, isolation read. 😉 It was funny, emotional, & HOT! And I hate that I waited so long to read ADaws. Kate is an author of erotica whose conservative family is embarrassed by her profession and she’s experiencing writer’s block due to the fact she’s still living with her douche of an ex-boyfriend. When she takes her car in for some maintenance she finds her writing mojo in the Tire Depot waiting room. Miles is a mechanic at Tire Depot who can’t drama but believe his luck when he discovers this gorgeous red-head in the Customer Convenience Center. Especially since she’s there EVERY day. He’s sworn off relationships since his ex provided a lifetime’s […]
