  Darkness Dawns served as my introduction to Dianne Duvall and I’m kicking myself for not having listened to it sooner! It was chock full of excitement, romance, action, and a new-to-me spin on vampires and immortals. The fact it was narrated by Kirsten Potter was gravy! Highlights: MCs Darkness Dawns revolved around Sarah and Roland and I adored them both! Sarah might be pint-sized but she’s tough – mentally and physically. Wicked Bite packed an even bigger punch than the four prior books in the Realm Enforcers series! Action, fights and betrayal that made my head spin. Story: I was happy to get a book where Nessa and Bear were the main characters, but I hadn’t really counted on Nessa actually going undercover. Review: Wicked Kiss – Rebecca Zanetti

Wicked Kiss was yet another fast-paced, action-packed romance in the Realm Enforcers series. I loved Tori, and the way she brought Adam to his knees. Story: I loved the strength Tori showed throughout Wicked Kiss, even if she put herself in danger at times because of her stubbornness. Adam pushed all her buttons, though, so it really wasn’t difficult to forgive her for some lapses in judgement. The overall Realm Enforcers plot continued with the search for the mastermind behind Appollo, and the suspense was sharp-edged. I loved Archangel’s Heart, both because Raphael and Elena were the main characters, and because we delved into Elena’s past, through her quest for genealogy while they were in Morocco on Cadre business. I don’t know what it is about Singh, but when I read her series – even the ones where there is a lot of trife and fights and uncertainty, I feel comforted when I pick up a new book. Archangel’s Heart is no different, and I loved being immersed in Elena and Raphael’s love once more. Magic Binds has action at break-neck speed, and still managed to be one of the most romantic and sweet installment in the series at the same time! As always, Kate Daniels is epic! Anathema is very different from the stories I had already read by Tucker, and while her paranormal story is a bit different, I found the main character, Evangeline, to be very naïve and too trusting. Now, I feel the need to say that Anathema was published five years ago, and I think it’s among Tucker’s first book. And I might have enjoyed her take on vampires and witches more if I had read it when it was first released rather than now. One Second was a beautiful, tense and very fast-paced and dangerous ending to the Seven Series. A lot of smaller plot-points from the prior books in the Seven series came together in One Second, and for most of the time, the action was tense and made me feel an undercurrent of danger for my favorite shifters.
