Weekend Wrap-up #330 – Fall colors and weather

Posted 14 November, 2020 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Memes, Wrap-up Posts / 24 Comments

Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #329

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

The Sunday Post #259 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

It’s been a fairly quiet week. Work and home, and a doctor’s appointment as well as a trip to the dental hygienist and that was it for me… Now, the weather is sunny and nice, so I think a long walk with the dogs is in the cards. It’s also the last day before my oldest moves to Germany tomorrow. Which is both sad and exciting at the same time, of course. I’m sure she’ll do well – she has a job she’s starting on December 1st, and she’ll live with her boyfriend of many years.

Glad to hear you had a good week and that things are relatively going good! I’m happy that your daughter has a new job opportunity. Congrats to her!

Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones. I hope you will enjoy them all!

My StS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

Glad for a smooth week and wishing your oldest well on her move and new job. The puppies look ready for some fun in the sun.

    Have a good week, Linda!

  4. I hope everything goes well for your daughter in Germany. My oldest son, who lives in Prague now, spent five years living in Berlin.

Enjoy your books and your week.

Freddy and Hercules make me think of Freddie Mercury – i know, totally irrelevant to the sunday post ! I’m happy for your daughter even if I understand how hard it is to see our children moving away (*hugs*). It’s been a while since I read a novel by Erica Ridley, I should remedy that, after I’ve read the two historical romances that remain on my kindle. Have a great week, Linda, enjoy that weird sunny and warm autumn 🙂

    • Ha! I think it’s great that my pups make you think of Freddie Mercury 🙂 He was the best!
I’m happy for my daughter too, even if it feels weird.
I love Erica Ridley – and I look forward to reading her newest. Have a great week yourself, Iza.

  7. Wishing your daughter all the best for her new job. My son returned to the US in January on a 3 year visa, so I have an idea how you are feeling… I hope the coming week is a kind one, Linda:))

  8. That’s nice you have some sunny weather, we had some sun earlier this week, but the last few days have been dreary with rain. I hope your daughter will do well in Germany. I hope you’ll have a good week!

  9. Sending you HUGS. Sending them off on their own adventures is hard but she is going to have so much fun and I’m excited for her new adventure.

The weather was really nice today and dexter and I went for a nice long walk. Quiet weeks are my favorite. I haven’t had one in a very long time. 🙂

    Miss you tons! (((HUGS)))

  10. Let me know if the Stop Smoking book helps, I need it!
I hope your daughters new job is a success, I’m not looking forward to mine leaving for uni next year so I know how you feel.

Wishing you a great reading week

  11. Linda, with how things have been this year, it is lovely to hear you enjoyed a nice, quiet week! I wish your daughter all the best with her move and new job! Take care and happy reading. 🙂

Quiet week here after getting a tooth pulled. Just trying to figure out things I can eat. Covid is rampant everywhere here and I’m scared again. Good luck to your daughter for her job and new home. Is it really far to travel there? I foresee many Germany visits in your future! Stay safe!

  13. Jen

Seems like a scary time to be moving, but glad she’s got a job and someplace safe to live! I hope everyone on your end is finally feeling better.

Thank goodness for quiet, right? Very exciting news about your daughter moving to Germany and the new job offer. I know how it feels when they leave. It’s definitely a mixed bag of feeling when the kiddies leave home. I wonder if she’s ready for lots and lots of visits from mom?!(lol) Be well and stay safe! Hugs, RO
