Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #47
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.
There was a very funny food quote in Jill Shalvis’ My Kind of Wonderful, so good, that of course I’m going to share it with you 🙂
My Hungry Hearts quote:
“Told you he’d come if there was food involved,” Gray said. “He thinks with his stomach. That’s why he’s still single.”
“What part do you think with?” Penny asked him.
Gray waggled a brow suggestively.
Penny rolled her eyes. “And I put up with you again why?”
“I’ll remind you after breakfast,” he told her, voice husky.
“Eew,” Kenny said. “Old people shouldn’t talk about sex.”
Gray slid his baby sister a look. “I’m thirty-two.”
“Old,” the twenty-five-year-old said.
There was an empty seat waiting for Hud. A plate had been loaded with his favorites: bacon, eggs, hash browns, sour dough toast, and… a big, fat blueberry muffin, the top of it dusted with sugar.
His mouth watered. “Who died?”
Thanks for stopping by today, I look forward to reading your Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts quote. Have a terrific Thursday and don’t forget to link up.
Great quote, and I´d really like to read the book 🙂 Da var juleferien ugjenkallelig over, og vi er tilbake i hverdagen igjen.

Love the quote! It’s far different from my family’s breakfast conversation, which sounds more like “shhh, it’s too early for conversation”
Heh, we’re not all that talkative at breakfast, either. But I still really loved this quote 🙂
Oh my! That sounds like the PERFECT breakfast! Every single part of it. Now I’m hungry. Lol! And I’m loving the conversation 😉
I know, right? Jill Shalvis always has food, great conversations and realistic relationships in her romances 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Cheryl!
I really enjoyed that book, great food quote! Hmm I could really go for a blueberry muffin right now.
Blueberry muffins just can’t ever be wrong, Lola 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.

Mmm, yes please!
🙂
LOL Lexxie, I really like the chemistry – not just the romantic chemistry – Shalvis seems to build between characters. Did I tell you that I read a short by her from her Lucky Harbor series (in A Christmas to Remember)? I can’t remember…*haha* Anyway, thanks for that quote. You’ve gotten me back for mine…I’m wanting breakfast now that I’ve just finished dinner. 😉 **BIG HUGS**
I agree, the chemistry among the brothers and sisters, friends, everybody is really well done. Shalvis knows how to make her characters very real. YAY Lucky Harbor 😀 Breakfast for after dinner snack?
*BIG HUGS*
Heh I loved that one. She’s such a fun author and man I love all the non-romantic relationships she includes 😀
Yes, I love her characters and all the ways they relate to each other 🙂
