Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #21

Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes…  If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.

The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.

As last week, this week’s Thirsty Thursday quote is from Bad Ex Karma by Donna Cummings, and it’s even more delicious and filled with innuendo than the one I used a week ago…

My Thirsty Thursday Quote:

“What’s your favorite wine?” I asked. “And none of this ‘it changes all the time’ shit.”
“I usually go with Cabernet.”
“I knew it! Men always go for the big beefy wines.”
“Why do you say that?” He ambled into the living room, to goblets in hand, and a bottle of a very expensive Cab in the other.
I grinned. “It has something to do with size, like it always does.”
“That’s what you think, huh?” His eyes twinkled as he poured a glass of the most beautiful red wine I’de ever seen and handed it to me. “Well, I happen to like Cabernet because of its complexity. It takes a while to uncover all the layers. It starts with one thing, but then something else comes to the surface. You can spend hours discovering all its secrets.”
I gulped. He wasn’t just talking about wine, was he? “Looks like Cabernet might be my favorite now, too.”

Yea, Jonathan and Delia knows how to take their innuendoes to the next level, right? That’s just one of the reasons why I loved this story so much.

Don’t forget to link up!

Thanks for stopping by today, have a terrific Thursday and happy reading.
