Audioreview: Winter Moon – Dannika Dark

Winter Moon was like an epilogue to the whole Seven series, and I felt like I was visiting with friends I hadn’t seen in a long time. As always, Poole narrated some of my favorite shifters to perfection, and Winter Moon included all of the characters that are part of the Weston pack. Poole’s voices managed to easily distinguish them all, and made my experience of a holiday without electricity a really good one. Some chapters gave a quick view into one of the main couple’s lives, while others involved the pack as a whole. There were a lot of funny quips, especially between the guys, and I loved seeing them with children being a bit older. Also, how the […]

Audio Review: Charming – Dannika Dark

Audio Review: Charming – Dannika Dark

Charming is a story in the Seven series, and it was delightful to get to know Prince better… I thought he was so ornery, but getting to understand him made a big difference. Prince was really the one character I already knew when I started listening to Charming, and I really enjoyed him. I was intrigued by Nadia at first, but she also came across as both bitchy and quite distant, especially after I got to know her twin sister Kat… She is a strong woman, and Alpha, and she listens to her instincts that tell her their dad is still alive, even if he has been missing for ten years. As a bounty hunter, she thinks she’s on the […]

Review: Two Minutes – Dannika Dark

Review: Two Minutes – Dannika Dark

Two Minutes is more dramatic than the prior books in the Seven series, because there are some even more serious parts to the plot this time around. My Two Minutes review: I always enjoyed Maizy in the Seven series, how she interacted with the shape shifters, and how she and Denver became fast friends, despite their age difference. In Two Minutes, Maizy is all grown up, and she’s been away from her home for several years, studying first elsewhere in the US, then in the UK. Once she comes back, Denver is completely taken aback – at first he doesn’t even recognize her, but thinks she is his blind date for the evening. Because it had been several years since […]

Review: Three Hours – Dannika Dark

Review: Three Hours – Dannika Dark

Three Hours has become my new favorite Dannika Dark story! Very well done, great balance between fights, intrigue and romance, and the characters really showed me what they were made of! Ever since the Seven series started, I have been curious about both Naya and Wheeler, and having them be the main characters in Three Hours was a real treat! Both are strong-minded, loyal to a fault and takes not bullshit from anybody else. Wheeler has always been quite mysterious, he never cared how others judged him based on his grumpy disposition and numerous tattoos. Even when his own pack and brothers would rather choose Ben over him, he let it slide, even if id didn’t sit well with him. […]

Blogtour Review: Four Days – Dannika Dark

Blogtour Review: Four Days – Dannika Dark

Welcome to my stop on the Four Days blogtour, hosted by Enchantress of Books Blogtours. I have my review to share with you, as well as my favorite quotes, an excerpt and there’s also a giveaway! My Four Days review: I’m just going to fangirl about Four Days for a paragraph right now. There will be squeeing, bouncing and much happiness! I loved Ivy and Lorenzo, the writing was really good, and there were epic fights, a horrendous villain and just lots of awesomeness all around. Now that the squeeing is out of the way, let me tell you about all the things that made Four Days a fantastic read. The character development was outstanding. Ivy seemed so very shy […]

Review: Five Weeks – Dannika Dark

Review: Five Weeks – Dannika Dark

Bad-ass shifters – and an amazing female MC made Five Weeks an amazing read! My Five Weeks review: Five Weeks includes everything I love in Ms. Dark’s UF universe! There is romance and a lot of tension, characters that seem very real with flaws and qualities, an amazing story and a well-executed plot. The writing is really good, mostly from Izzy’s point of view, first person, in past tense, but with some third person passages as well. It was a true pleasure to get to know Jericho better, he intrigued me quite a bit in both Seven Years and Six Months, with his distant way of interacting with his brothers in the Weston household. Izzy also appealed to me from the […]

Review: Six Months – Dannika Dark

Review: Six Months – Dannika Dark

Six Months follows April and Reno, and with all of April’s problems, I kept wishing she would do the smart thing and tell her close friends what was going on with her. My Six Months review: Six Months definitely had big shoes to fill, because I have truly loved all of Ms. Dark’s other stories, and Seven Years was actually one of my favourite books of 2013. If you say gritty UF / Paranormal romance, I will say ‘yes please, pretty please, with sugar on top!’ And I really enjoy the shifters and the whole universe that is part of both the Seven series and the Mageri series. Alexis was present in Six Months as well, and her character development […]

Blogtour, Review: Seven Years (Seven #1) – Dannika Dark

Blogtour, Review: Seven Years (Seven #1) – Dannika Dark

*I received a free ARC of Seven Years from Enchantress of Books Blogtours in exchange of an honest review* Welcome to my stop on the Seven Years blogtour! I was so excited when I heard that Ms. Dark had a new series she had started to write, I wanted to read it straight away! And Seven  is truly off to a great start. It’s a paranormal romance but the main character doesn’t even know she’s a shapeshifter when the story starts. How is that for a shock, eh? Lexi is a pretty normal twenty-seven year old woman who works in a candy-shop. She’s not exactly happy with where she is in her life, but she’s not completely unhappy either. Still […]
