A good reason to be bad...

Librarian Sophie Heyer has walked the straight and narrow her entire life to avoid paying for her mother's mistakes. But in tiny Jackson Hole, Wyoming, juicy gossip just doesn't go away, so the last thing she needs is for history to repeat itself. Falling hard for the sexiest biker who's ever rode into town would undo everything she's worked for. And to add insult to injury, the sexy stranger is none other than Alex Bishop--the son of the man her mother abandoned Sophie's family for. He may be temptation on wheels, but Sophie's not looking for trouble!

Maybe Sophie's buttoned-up facade fools some, but Alex knows a naughty smile when he sees one. Despite their parents' checkered pasts, he's willing to take some risks to find out the truth about the town librarian. He figures a little fling might be just the ticket to get his mind off of family drama. But what he finds underneath Sophie's prim demeanor might change his world in ways he never expected.

Hot, different and a little kinky, Looking for Trouble was definitely a fun ride!

My Looking for Trouble review:

Sophie and Alex both really surprised me as characters! They were nothing at all like they seemed, and that made Looking for Trouble an amazing read! Alex sports a shaved head, a huge motorcycle and lots of tattoos, but he really is a sweet and stand-up guy. Sophie on the other hand looks very demure in her long skirts and buttoned-up cardigans, but what she hides underneath her librarian clothing is utterly sexy and a little  kinky!

Looking for Trouble is really the story about how Sophie and Alex should not have anything in common, and they really seemed so wrong for each other until some of those layers came off. Then, I was just sighing with pleasure, and hoping that the outside world would never interfere with their chemistry and utter hotness.

Working through a lot of preconceived perceptions, Sophie and Alex could have not judged each other based on what the other showed the world, however they were both quick to change their minds about what was real and what wasn’t once they got to know each other a little better. Fanning the Flames made my day, and this full-length novel in the Jackson: Girls’ Night Out already has me impatient for the next installment!

If you are looking for a very hot read, with characters that evolve and change, and where there is a lot more than meets the eye, Looking for Trouble should make its way to your shelves right now!

Some of my favorite Looking for Trouble quotes:

Sophie didn’t answer. She was too busy burying her nose in the kitten’s fur. The kitten purred like an engine. “Oh, my God,” Sophie breathed. “Yes, she can stay with me. How do you know she’s a girl?” He shrugged. “She’s pretty?” “I don’t think that’s how it works. But we’ll settle on ‘her’ for now.”

It was strangely soothing to her, the danger of this man she barely knew flying her through the world. It felt like she was real.

With her, it was something… different. Intense and brutal, yet still sweet. He hadn’t thought those things went together. Thank God he hadn’t fucked it up.

  1. Kinky??? That piqued my interest! Hahaah. The demure librarian is naughty after all. Was it attraction at first sight, Lexxie? Oh dear, I can already imagine Sophie having the hots for Alex. I might try this one someday particularly that there’s a significant character development and of course, I want to know Sophie better.

    Awesome review, Lexxie! <33

    • Ha! Kinky is what got you interested, Charlotte? For Sophie, one of the things that first attracted her to Alex was the fact that he was from out of town… so nobody would ever learn anything about her naughtier side 😉
