COYER Clean Out Your E-Reader Challenge – Update 2
Welcome to my Clean Out Your E-Reader Challenge update post. Remember to visit Fantasy Is More Fun and Because Reading is better than real life so you can check out all the reviews people have already linked to, and to possible find more books to your own TBR as well π
I have already read six books from my list, but I have left my list complete, with a link to my review if you’re interested.
A Missing Peace by Beth Fred. It is pitched as a turbulent, emotionally charged YA that breaks down barriers and challenges the status quo. β β β β β My review is here. I really enjoyed A Missing Peace a lot!
Introductions (The Academy #1) by C. L. Stone. This one is supposed to be a YA contemporary romance with some paranormal / fantasy elements included. β β β ββ Here is my review.
Starry Night is an adult holiday romance, and I really look forward to this one. I love holiday romances, and Debbie Macomber is a new-to-me author. β β β β β You can find my review here, I really loved Starry Night!
Dirty Minds by TA Williams is the story about Tom, an aspiring author, newly divorced, who thinks that writing erotica might just be the answer to all his problems. β β β β β Very humorous book! Here’s my review.
Gone Wild is a NA contemporary romance about Ina and how her life went to hell publicly, and her way to deal with it was to retreat to the mountains, in a secluded cottage. Written by Ever McCormick. β β βββ This was a little too slow for me π Review
The Cowgirl Ropes a Billionaire(The Cowboys of Chance Creek #3) by Cora Seton. I have already read the first and the third book in the series, and they were well done, humorous and romantic, with a setting in the wild west π β β β β β I love this series so much. You can find my review here.
The Silver Chain by Primula Bond is an erotic romance and I have no idea what I will think of this. It might just be a little outside my comfort zone, but we’ll see, right? I have put The Silver Chain on hold so far. Maybe I was just not in the right mood, or maybe this just isn’t for me… I still haven’t been able to get back to this one π
Sleep with the Lights On by Maggie Shayne is a contemporary thriller, and the blurb made me want to read this one! A blind woman writing self-help books get cornea from a deceased man, and now she can finally see. She doesn’t only see the real world, however, she gets visions from horrible murders as well… This was truly brilliant! My review is here. β β β β β
Love Game by Elis Sax appealed to me as soon as I read the blurb, I can never resist a romance that is filled with humor as well as with hotness! And hotness I found! Here’s my review. β β β β β
Baiting the Boss by Coleen Kwan is another contemporary romance, and I am really in the mood for that these days! This was a fun, quick read. You can find my review here. β β β ββ
I received my eARC of Playing Dirty by Jennifer Echols from Edelweiss in September, and I have no idea why it took me so long to read it! I loved it so much! β β β β β it’s full of humor and hotness, and I enjoyed myself the whole time I was reading it! Here’s my review.
These two books were added to my initial list:
Tragic by J.A. Huss that was $0.99 for kindle last week, and thus could not be left out of my kindle for a second longer. β β β β β Tragic is made of awesome! I loved Rook and Ronin in all their dark, hot grittiness! Here’s my review.
Finding Cinderella by Colleen Hoover – this one was free, and it’s part of the Losing Hope series I love so much. β β β β β Finding Cinderella was all I imagined and more. My review can be found here.
There is still one more week left in the challenge, and apart from The Silver Chain, I have read and reviewed all my books, so I am adding a few more right now:
Manic (Rook & Ronin #2) By J. A. Huss. I fell in love with JA’s writing, and with Rook and Ronin, so I just know I need more and more and more! I got this for $0.99 for kindle.
Waterfell by Amalie Howard is a Netgalley ARC I’ve had for a while, and I hope I’ll enjoy it!
The Republic of Thieves by Scott Lynch is another Netgalley ARC that has been patiently waiting on my kindle for a while…
Backward Glass by David Lomax is a YA story with time travel! I can’t believe I got this on Netgalley and haven’t read it yet! I love time travel π
Thanks for stopping by π Have a great day, and good luck with your Clean Out Your E-Reader challenge.

Lexxie you’re doing so incredible! I’m still trying to get around to all the reviews, so I haven’t seen all of yours quite yet, but I’m very excited to read them! Good luck rocking it this last week! Hope you can make the twitter party at 7pm EST tonight π
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make the twitter party, because 7pm EST is 1am where I live, and I have classes all day tomorrow π
I am very happy with my E-reader progress, even if I’ve added at least as many books as those that I’ve read – thanks to all the great reviews for cheap books.
Thanks for stopping by, Berls.
Wow Lexxie, your doing awesome on this challenge! Congrats on getting 6 completed. I’m doing a similar challenge this month called NetGalley November. It seems like for every book I read, I add two more! LOL Keep up the good work π
Thanks Lindy π I really needed to clean out some e-books, and most of these are eARCs, so it’s kind of like the NetGalley November you’re doing.
I’m like you, though, adding many more books to my TBR.
Thanks for stopping by.

You are doing awesome, I have no idea how many I have read, each week I add one or two to the linky. Keep up the good work!!!
Thanks Kimba π I have been doing pretty well. But I keep on adding more books at the same time…
Wow I’m really impressed that you’ve read so many and had to add more. I’m doing a similar challenge and have only read four out of the twenty I choose. Others keep jumping ahead LOL π Hope you have a great week Lexxie!
I’m pretty surprised myself, Traci, because usually, when I make a list of books to read, I want to read anything BUT the books on that list π
Thanks for stopping by, have a great week yourself.
Congrats on reading so many books! I read Republic of Thieves a while ago. Although I thought it was a bit too long, I really enjoyed it. π
Thanks Pamela π Yeah, I just noticed how huge Republic of Thieves is… If I enjoy it that’s no problem, but if it’s hard to get into, that might make me give up.
Thanks for stopping by.
I’m anxious to see what you think of Waterfell, Lexxie. It’s a book that has my intrigued. And I look forward to hearing about The Republic of Thieves and Backward Glass, as well. I’ve never heard of either…hmm, will you be forcing me to increase the size of my TBR?!? LOL
You’re doing such a great job with this challenge! I swear it’s something I should ‘force’ upon myself every month. LOL I hope your Monday has been marvelous, Lexxie! It’s cold and snowy here…perfect day for reading. π *hugs*
I finished Waterfell yesterday… didn’t love it. Just started The Republic of Thieves, and I absolutely loved Backward Glass! So yes, I might force you to slightly increase the size of your TBR π
It sounds like you had a perfect Monday, Brandee! It’s really cold here today, with lots of wind, but no snow for now. However, I think I see that yellow thing up in the sky… and that’s always nice.
Have a great day π *hugs*
Argh! You are such an efficient reader, Lexxie. It’s like you’re always in a reading frenzy and oh my, you’re only four books away from your reviewing target. 150 books read and reviewed in a year….Waaaa!
How do you do it, Lexxie? You’re so amazing with this challenge. I came across this once during a bloghop but never considered joining because I was afraid I can’t do it. I totally suck at challenges. Shall I say congratz in advance? I hope I can be as efficient as you.
And question, did you ever experience a slump? π
Hey Charlotte π
I know, I’ve been doing really well this year, even if I was a little afraid at the beginning of the year and thought I might have put the bar too high.
And yes, it does happen that I experience a reading slump… but there are so many great books out there that it usually doesn’t last very long π
Thanks for stopping by!
