2014 TBR Pile Challenge
I signed up for this challenge in January of 2014, and then, I more or less forgot about it :O I have read some of the books that were already in my pile before 2013, though, and so I figured I might as well do a whole year wrap-up post, even if I haven’t done the monthly posts at all. You can check out the rules and other posts about the 2014 TBR Pile Challenge over at Bookish, who is hosting it.
I read the following books released before 2014, and I reviewed some of them. I can see a pattern where I am not as good at reviewing books I own as I am when it comes to reading and reviewing ARCs. In my sign-up post, I had decided to read between 31-40 books from my TBR list, and I have read and reviewed 47, so it’s a win. I really need to do something about the books I read but haven’t reviewed yet, though. It makes me sad to see that some of my favorite series haven’t gotten their ‘due’ in 2014.
At least, finally going through this list, and writing up my wrap-up post for the 2014 TBR Pile Challenge made me think of a few things I have to tweak a little bit for next year, to make sure no books fall between the cracks when it comes to reviews.

You really put a dent in your TBR pile. Great job!
I did, Melanie, but I read over double that in ARCs… and while I love ARCs and usually only request them for authors I really love, it’s still a little sad that I own so many books I haven’t read yet.
Woohoo! *high five* You did very well, Lexxie! You should be proud of yourself, even if you did kinda forget about the challenge. This post reminded me that I should do a wrap-up post for my challenges. I didn’t do too many this year but I did well. Next year….
Happy Monday! **BIG HUGS**
Yes! And it’s thanks to Carmel and Loupe and their audiobook challenge wrap-up posts that I went to see what challenges I had entered in 2014, Brande…
I did well, but when you know that I read 260 books so far in 2014, it’s not that great after all.
Have a happy Monday, too! *BIG HUGS*
Ooh, look at you with your new theme. Nice! You kicked your 2014 TBR pile’s ASS! It’s difficult to balance reviewing ARCs vs titles that have been sitting on your shelf for far too long. We do what we can! Congrats on surpassing your challenge goals. 🙂
Thank you Carmel, I really like it, too! I’ve installed TweakMe v2.0 😀
I did do well, but it feels like I could do much better, you know?
Congrats! I really think you did great, Lexxie! 🙂
Thank you Silvia 🙂 I did do quite well, especially because I exceeded my goal 🙂 Have a great week!
You read a lot of books 🙂
And those are just a small part of all the books I read this year so far, Rosa 🙂
Congrats, Lexxie! You met your goal! I am thinking of doing this challenge for next year; still on the fence about it.
