Teaser Tuesday - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title and author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers.

Teaser Tuesday #7 – Allegiant

Yeah, I couldn’t not read Allegiant, it arrived on my kindle last week, and I just had some books to finish first, but now, Allegiant it is!

I hate this place. It isn’t as clean as it was when it was the Erudite compound; now it is ravaged by war, bullet holes in the walls and the broken glass of shattered lightbulbs everywhere.

Tris crouches on the ground inside, shoulder to shoulder with Christina and diagonal from Cara.

What’s your teaser today? Please leave me a link and make me salivate! And possibly also make me add another book to my TBR 🙂

Thanks for stopping by, have a terrific Tuesday and happy reading 🙂

    • That’s a scary extreme reaction, Jeann! I’m actually enjoying it so far, even if the direction it has started in is quite different from what I thought it would be. I like the underlying kind of message about society and messing with things we have no business messing with.

    • I just finished it today – I read it very quickly, even if it’s over 500 pages. I hope you’ll enjoy it, too when you get to it, Liesel.

  1. Argh! I left my nook at home so can’t add a teaser from my current read.

I very much want to read the Veronica Roth Divergent series. It looks really good.

    • I enjoyed it, Al, but it’s a third in a series, and lots of fans have been upset with the ending 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by.

      • Al

I usually look at the fact that authors have a reason for the way they end books. Mind you, I have heard about a couple of books that have been rewritten because the fans didn’t like them. Even Conan Doyle changed his book to save Holmes after the public outcry of him dying with Moriarty

        • Yeah, I agree. And I thought the ending was very fitting, because it was kind of dark, just like this whole dystopian world has been from book one.

It’s kind of funny about books that have been rewritten, talk about reader-response.
