Teaser Tuesday - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title and author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers.

Teaser Tuesday #40: Maybe Not

Maybe Not cover - (un)Conventional BookviewsMaybe Not (Maybe #1.5) – Colleen Hoover

When Warren has the opportunity to live with a female roommate, he instantly agrees. It could be an exciting change.
Or maybe not.
Especially when that roommate is the cold and seemingly calculating Bridgette. Tensions run high and tempers flare as the two can hardly stand to be in the same room together. But Warren has a theory about Bridgette: anyone who can hate with that much passion should also have the capability to love with that much passion. And he wants to be the one to test this theory.
Will Bridgette find it in herself to warm her heart to Warren and finally learn to love?
Maybe.
Maybe not.

 My Teaser:

[dropshadowbox align=”center” effect=”lifted-both” width=”450px” height=”” background_color=”#e0c0d7″ border_width=”3″ border_color=”#674ea7″ ]I feel like I’m two different people right now. I’m a guy who finds his new roommate insanely attractive, but I’m also a guy who can’t stand to be around his bitchy new roommate.[/dropshadowbox]

What’s your teaser today? Please share – it’s not as if a few more books on my TBR mountain will make that big of a difference 😉

  1. Oh my goshhh thanks so much for the teaser, it sounds AMAZING! I loved Maybe Someday and everything Colleen Hoover actually, and it was a pleasant surprise to see this book out. Great teaser Lexxie!

  2. OH MY GOD. I laughed out loud Lexxie. I’ve been meaning to find time in my schedule to read this super shot novella since I loved Maybe, Someday! I’ll have to find time soon because I can tell this ones going to be a good one.

    • LOL Lily, there are other moments like that in this one. I hope you’ll find the time to read it soon, and it’s really a quick read!

    • LOL, I don’t really feel sorry for him, Berls, he knew what he was getting himself into! But I agree, you definitely need to read Colleen Hoover. And soon!

    • It was good, Braine. I’ll sit down to write my review soon… I enjoyed most things with Bridgette and Warner, but there was a little thing that kind of peeved me, too…

  3. I’m so jealous you’re reading more CoHo. She’s on my list to hit in early 2015 too. That’s a great year and i hope you’re loving every minute of Maybe Not. (With hankies add a given) *big hugs*

    • No need for hankies while reading Maybe Not, actually… I think it may be one of the very few CoHo stories that didn’t make me cry! And hey, I can’t wait to discuss her books in more detail with you!
      *BIG HUGS*

    • I enjoyed it quite a bit, Jessica. I love CoHo, too, but this one has a slightly different feel to it – I think it’s her first story that didn’t make me cry!
