Teaser Tuesday - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title and author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers.

It was an unwelcome thing, to suddenly feel half an inch tall.

Pondering, his thoughts wandered uneasily to his surroundings.

This book is the last one I have on my COYER challenge for November, and I just started it yesterday, so my two quotes are from the very beginning. I’m intrigued already, but kind of scared of this huge 650 pages book at the same time. So far, the writing is good, and I’ve already gotten to meet some characters that I know I’ll remember.

Thanks for stopping by, have a terrific Tuesday and happy reading 🙂

  1. This meme reminded me of an event I joined last April or June wherein the participants are required to share a line of an unread book in their shelf and from that line alone determine whether they’re excited to read the book or not. 😀

Holly molly, 650 pages?! But since you said that the writing is good then it should be nothing. Hahaha. Who knows, you might ask for more? Good luck and congrats again, Lexxie! What an outstanding feat!

    • Hey Charlotte 🙂 It’s so nice to see your smiling face here!

That meme sounds pretty good, too. And it’s nice to just share some teasers with our fellow bloggers, as well 🙂

Yeah, 650 pages – it will go fast if I enjoy it, but it’s going to be hell if I don’t. I hope you’re doing well, Charlotte! *hugs*

  2. I’m gonna be so impressed when you finish that book today, Lexxie! It does sound intriguing and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. 🙂 And I have complete and total confidence that you’ll finish it…you’re ‘Super Reader’! LOL

I’m reading a book for a blog tour and then I’ll get started on my final books for COYER. Keep your fingers crossed that I can finish them. 🙂 We actually have this big glowing ball in the sky today…I’d almost forgot what it looked like. 😉 I hope your day is sparkly and wonderful, my friend! *hugs*

    • Oh, I don’t think I’ll be able to finish Republic of Thieves today, Brandee, but I am enjoying it a lot so far.

Oh, that glowing yellow thing in the sky is so wonderful, isn’t it? Do you still have some snow for it to bounce off of?

Thanks for stopping by, my friend! *hugs3

“He would look so young. They were both so young.”

“She threw the knife. It struck it’s target, and she leaped into the air, clapping her hands, forgetting herself for a moment in the thrill of victory.”

So far, I am pretty intrigued. Thanks for stopping by.

    • That’s good to know, Pamela. I’m really enjoying The Republic of Thieves so far, but there is quite a lot of mystery going on in the beginning here 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by!

    • I hadn’t heard of this series before, but I really enjoyed the summary when I requested it on Netgalley.

Thanks for stopping by Jeann 🙂

    • The story is really good as well, Naomi. The magi are almost more than human, but only almost. And the main characters are great, too.

      Thanks for stopping by 🙂
