Trick…or wicked treat!
It was a devastating dirty trick—Joey Silvia just found out her boyfriend of two years is married. What. A. Dick. Joey knows her best chance to get over one guy is to get under another. Of course, heading home to her family's remote cabin in Oregon poses some challenges in the "available men" department…until she discovers this cabin comes with its own hot handyman!
Holy crap, Chris Steffensen. When did her brother's best friend turn into a hard-bodied pile of blond-bearded hotness? He's the perfect Halloween treat—and a surprisingly dirty rebound guy. For a couple of weeks, anyway. Except that Chris has other ideas…like proving to Joey that this blast from the past is a whole lot more than a naughty Halloween hookup.
Her Halloween Treat is such a great story, Reisz spins beautiful stories with characters I never want to leave.
I don’t know how Reisz does it, but her stories always grabs me and pulls me in! Her Halloween Treat is no exception, as I fell instantly in love with both Joey and Chris. My feels were invested from the start, too, and the whole spectrum was involved. The way Reisz strings her words together to make beautiful sentences that become stories is a true piece of art, and I think I could print out a page of one of her books and frame it – that’s how much I love her writing.
And while there were moments where Joey made me want to both cry and scream in anger with her because of her ex, there were also moments where I was very hot and bothered thanks to Chris! And of course, I also laughed out loud – especially at Chris’ special brand of logic when it came to feelings, and how his teenage dreams were finally coming true now that he shared a bed with Joey. I have several pages worth of highlights, but I am only going to share a few quotes with you here – you need to mark your calendar to pick up Her Halloween Treat on release day.
Written in third person point of view, from Joey’s perspective, and in past tense, the story flowed easily. And the subtle humor as well as the extreme hotness of the story, coupled with amazing characters made Her Halloween Treat as close to perfection as is possible!
“You’re gorgeous,” she said. He opened his eyes – blue eyes – and raised his chin. “lie down and come,” he said. “You can tell me how pretty I am later.”
“Stay there.” “I’m naked. Where would I go?” He didn’t answer as he walked from the room, still naked himself. Christ should do that more often – walk out of rooms naked. The view was spectacular. Better than the view of the mountain from her window. She could charge money for a view like that.
A man who stored his condoms in his toolbox. That was cute. Very cute. She could get used to being with a guy like this.
Reading this book contributed to these challenges:
Oh now this one does sound fun. I still need to try her books, too.
Great quotes! 🙂

Sounds great! I really need to read some of her books.
This one could be a great introduction to her writing, Lekeisha!
Lovely review! That’s great that you love the author’s writing so much. 🙂
Her writing is like a symphony and a beautiful ballet all at the same time, Lauren.
I love this cover!!!!!!!! I’ve recently been into category romance, which I don’t normally read. So glad this was a hit. I need to look into it.
It’s an excellent story, Quinn, and I hope you’ll pick it up and love it as much as I did.
This sounds SO good! I just got an ARC of another book by her with a holiday theme and I can’t wait to start it. Glad you loved this, great review!!
Oh, I have that one, too, Eva. And I can’t wait to get started on it! Reisz is such an amazing story-teller, and I really hope you’ll enjoy her writing (and characters and plot and story and hotness) as much as I did.

I love Tiffany Reisz (though I’ve gotten behind on her stuff. I need to remedy that soon). She writes such fun and interesting characters. I also enjoy the humor she gets into her books. It isn’t what I normally consider a “funny” story, but she usually makes me laugh at least once in every book.
Yeah, the humor that’s inserted into the stories is almost a bit unexpected, but it shows off her characters’ personalities very well 🙂
Sounds like delicious fun, Lexxie. I used to read Harlequin romances all the time. Just recently getting back into them.
Delicious is a good word for this one, Laura 🙂 You should check it out!

if a candy like that lands on my door I will keep it too
LOL Ailyn 🙂 that’s a good one!
I love the title of this one, it seems fun how it takes place around Halloween. I haven’t seen many contemporary romances that take around Halloween so far. It sure sounds like a good read and I like the quotes you picked from this one! Great review!
I hadn’t really read any Halloween romances before, either, Lola. This one was fun and very well done 🙂
