Bought, Bagged and Wrapping it Up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews, Talk Supe and Caffeinated Reviewer.
STS #156 – Bought Borrowed & Bagged #106
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to your library – virtual or actual, with books that are ย bought, borrowed, won or ARCs ย you will be reading soon. Bought Borrowed and Bagged is a homage to to Barron’s Books and Baubles from KMM’ Fever series, and is hosted by Braine over at Talk Supe. Without further ado, here’s what I bought, borrowed or bagged this past week:
Thank you, Tantor Audio!
It’s all Naomi’s fault!!! Plus it was only $0.99.
I received another book I won during the summer COYER challenge – Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck, thank you so much for mailing it and all the swag my way, Berls!
The Sunday Post #106 – Wrapping it Up
Kim @ย The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
This week had a pretty sporty beginning! On Monday, I taught eight hours – which is a lot when you think of the fact that I don’t really have a job these days ๐ I have also been very disciplined, and worked for between four and five hours on my thesis every day, so I am starting to see the shape it will have one day.
We’re in Spain this week, as the kids are off from school for a whole week, and we want to lick up the last of the sun before we are completely ready for winter to start. We just arrived late last night, but we wanted to wake up and be close to the beach today, and just smelling the sea is like heaven! I’m glad I have this week off, though, because in November, will be teaching full time, as I’ve gotten a sub contract during a paternity leave.

Freddy seems to be having fun with his friend! And a very nice tiger bookcover to enjoy! Have a good reading week and enjoy the sun!
Yes, I was so happy when he wanted to interact with another dog! He’s very reserved usually ๐ Sadly, it’s raining here, too. But I’m still close to the sea, so I’m all good ๐
Nice stack of books you got. I read Archangel’s Heart this week and loved it. Oh neat book gift and swag from COYER.
A week of holiday in Spain sounds lovely and glad you got a lot of work done on your thesis so you could enjoy it guilt-free. ๐
Ah, Freddie looks cute meeting his dog buddy.
I can’t wait to get started with Archangel’s Heart, Sophia! I love Raphael and Elena so much. They were my first PNR celebrity crush ๐
A week is very nice, and while I’ll have time to hang out, I think I should also continue working a bit on my thesis. I have quite a way to go, still.
that’s nice, some different books there! I don’t do a lot of audio but well. happy reading!
In the beginning when I listened to an audio, I was too distracted to really get the story, but now, I love it, Melliane ๐ And the narrator for the Guild Hunter series is amazing.
Glad to hear things are going well! Enjoy the mini vacation in Spain!! Just want to continue to wish you good luck on your thesis!
All new to me reads, but I hope you enjoy each and every one of them!
And Freddy is just so cute!! Funny how he knows what’s yours and claims it! Just like a dog! LOL!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower ๐
Thank you, Jessica!! I need to continue to work hard, I just really wish I had already finished that thesis ๐

Grace @ Books of Love
I know, right? And you’re right, those $0.99 books are close to impossible to resist!
I love the cover (and the guy’s hair) of Spell Cat! It looks like a fun book. Have a lovely time in Spain! It’s one of the only countries in Europe I haven’t been to. My friends like there now, so I hope to go in the next few years.
The book was fun, Ardis! Gay witch who’s supposed to marry the most powerful female witch…
I hope you’ll be able to visit Spain one day, it’s one of my favorite countries to vacation in – so much so that we have an apartment here now ๐
OMG that Veiled cover looks stunning! Hope you enjoy all your new books. Have a great weekend.
here is my STS
Best wishes
Vi @ Gone With The Books
I agree, I can’t wait to listen to it, Vi ๐
I just checked it. This awesome cover comes only with the audio, the print and ebook looks totally different and by far not as good. So enjoy. I am looking forward to your review ๐
Best wishes
Vi @ Gone With The Books
oh Spain so lucky, I hope I can visit it one day. Harley and Rose looks so fantastic, I have been craving it also
I know, I am very lucky!! You should pick up Harley and Rose now that it’s so cheap, Lily!
Spain sounds like a wonderful place to relax…enjoy! Congrats on your progress on the thesis.
Enjoy the new books…all new to me.

I want to read Veiled so badly! I was going to request the audiobook but I have so many from Tantor to review that I’m taking a break from requesting audios.
Keep on doing great on your thesis and have fun in Spain!!
WooHoo! I should take a break from requesting audios from Tantor, too… I have no idea why they agree to send me more ๐
Thanks for stopping by, Gen! <3
Back in Spain? I’m very envious.
Also lots of new books and a great prize!
I hope you enjoy the last of the warmer weather and Freddy doesn’t meet too many eligible Dachshunds!
Yeah, whenever we have a week off, we tend to drive down here – it’s just so nice to be close to the sea – that’s an impossibility in Switzerland ๐
The weather is quite nice today, but not really warm enough to lounge on the beach – we shall see if we’ll manage a quick dip later on.
Looks like a pretty awesome haul! I’m such a sucker for cute Christmas anthologies!
And oh my gosh! Your dog is so cute! Have a lovely week!
Christmas stories are awesome, Cyn ๐ Thanks for stopping by!
Spell Cat looks interesting, I’m pretty sure I considered taking a review copy of that at some point, but something stopped me. I’ll be curious what you think of it though.
It does sound like you had a rather busy beginning of the week! But at least now you get to relax a bit. And awww, Freddy made a friend! Lol to him having to be inside your jacket.
Spell Cat was good, Kristen! I enjoyed it and had fun with it as well ๐
Freddy and his new friend were too cute for words! I hope we’ll meet the friend and his owner again soon ๐

Your haul is awesome and some time at the beach would be heaven right now!
I would love to host a blogger retreat here one year, Kim! So start saving for a cross-Atlantic flight ๐

that would be so wonderful.
Tiger’s Curse looks good, I always like that cover whenever I see it. Plus swag! ๐ And congrats on the teaching- glad something opened up! Enjoy your week on vacation too.
Ha ha Freddy’s cute. Have a great week!
I agree, it does look really good! And we can never have enough swag, right?
I’m really happy something has opened up, too, even if it’s just a month, I’ll have an in at that school once more ๐
LOVE the cover of Veiled Lexxie, hope you enjoy your book haul. That’s great going on your thesis too, takes a lot of discipline to do that! Hope you enjoy Spain! Would love to be there right now instead of miserable England!
Yay for a trip to soak up the last bits of summer!! How wonderful for you all! And congrats on the sub job! Thats great!
Holy crap: 4-5 hours of thesis work a day!? Girl I never worked that hard on mine. I can’t even imagine!!!
Enjoy your books!
I wish we had a little bit of summer left here, it’s moving past fall and into winter. Hope you enjoy your book haul, happy reading!
Aww man! I missed Harley & Rose at .99! I really want to read that one. It sounds so good! I did notice it is available for Kindle Unlimited though so that makes me happy! lol Hope you have a great week!
Sounds like you had a very productive week, Lexxie! I’m glad to hear that your thesis work is looking up! ๐
And Spain! That’s awesome that you are there right now. Enjoy the sunshine! Your haul looks terrific too, so I hope you enjoy everyone one of those books and those audios!
Enjoy Spain! It’s always lovely to get some late sun before heading in to winter. And I’m impressed that you are so consistent and disciplined with your thesis; that is bound to pay off in the long run. Your new books look good, in particular I love the look of the Karina Halle book. I haven’t read any of her books yet, but I plan to soon, as I know so many book bloggers just rave about her.
Great book haul. I hope you have tons of fun in Spain before winter starts.
Those sales are hard to resist, especially when the book is so cheap. I got two 0.99$ books this week as well.
I also received my Coyer prize from Berls this week, she was really nice to add to some swag to those packages :).
That great you got so much work done on your thesis and it’s starting to take shape. Thesis are a lot of effort and time to write, I can still remember the work that went into my thesis.
Enjoy your week of vacation in Spain! That’s a fun picture of Freddy meeting another Dachshund! And pets always pick the weirdest places to sleep, ofcourse he has to nap in your jacket.
Thanks for linking to my post! I hope you’ll have a great week!
More power to you with the thesis. Sounds like it’s shaping up for you. And your last hurrah to warm weather sounds fun too. Freddy is his usual adorable self. My dog will do the same thing. if I lay clothing where he can curl up on it, that’s where I’ll find him. LOL
Outlaw’s Promise sounds really great. Gotta love MC books! Hope you have fun in Spain! =D
Four to five hours a day on your thesis is remarkable!
I am entirely jealous of the trip to GR headquarters as well. Would love that!
Freddy is quite handsome, BTW.
So many lovely lovely books! And Freddy is so darn cute! It sounds like you’ll be pretty busy in the foreseeable future. I hope you have a fantastic week off! ๐

Spain, teaching gig, new books, can’t get any better than that, Lexxie!
What class/grade will you be teaching?
I only teach English, and this next gig will be the last two years of high school (3rd and 4th, as they start over at 1st when they finish middle school)
I hope you have a great and relaxing time in Spain. Your so right to get to the Sun! I think it will be a very cold winter. It already feeks so much colder here. So getting some sun is definitely a good idea.
Good to hear your thesis is gettin there.. Good luck ๐
Have a lovely time in Spain and enjoy the last of the sun! Winter isn’t too far off, it is getting cold here.
Oooo, that COYER prize is awesome! So many goodies! I love it when prize packs are jam-packed with awesome. I hope you are having an amazing time in Spain. And I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
Have a fabulous week, Lexxie. ๐
Check out my STS post!
Have a great time in Spain!
Have fun in Spain and enjoy the warm weather! That’s great you are doing so well on your thesis and have a job during the month of November. ๐
Looks like Freddy had to rest up after his big outing. ๐
I got Fling too! And Veiled should arrive this week! Oh, and I totally one-clicked Harley & Rose – all Naomi’s fault!! LOL I’m also envious of a few others on your list – Newbury and Lain. ๐ Nice haul, wifey. I won’t even comment on…well, you know. ๐ I hope you’ll have a lovely fall break in Spain. I know you will though. Soak up some sun and the sea. It sounds delightful! Thanks for sharing Freddy’s week. He’s so adorable and not a bit spoiled, I’m sure. ๐
I hope we can chat one day this week, wife. I’m missing you and need to be caught up with you. <3 *BIG HUGS* <3
Congrats on your winnings and all the books you got this week Lexxie!! I wish there were more Christmas/Holiday-themed books in the genres I read, I’d love to get into the season that way ๐ Hope you enjoyed Spain and Freddy is as adorable as ever โฅ
