Reveiw: Claim & Protect – Rhenna Morgan

Reveiw: Claim & Protect – Rhenna Morgan

Claim & Protect was such a wonderful story, with heartache, friendship, suspense, love, romance and loyalty. Trevor and Natalie really worked very well for me! Claim & Protect did as well. Especially because the kinds of secrets Trevor kept, and the way he might do some bad things for all the right reasons appealed to me so much. Because Trevor was Natalie’s boss, she wanted to stay way clear of him, however, that became impossible once he realised that her ex was making trouble not only for her, but for her son as well. Claim & Protect was filled with both suspense and a tantalising romance, and I loved both! The characters were well developed and grew throughout the story. […]

Review: What it Takes – Shannon Stacey

Review: What it Takes – Shannon Stacey

What it Takes is a very back throw-back to the whole Kowalski series, and it was nice to see how all the cousins are holding up after all this time, while also meeting a brand-new couple on the camping ground. Laney really needed a change after living in a love-less marriage for ten years during which she had lost herself. What it Takes was mostly about her finding herself again, understanding her own wants and needs. Laney thought she needed to be on her own to figure out what to do with the rest of her life, and when she first met Ben, she was doing her very best to ignore the strong chemistry between them. As always, Stacey brings people […]

Review: Fully Ignited – Shannon Stacey

Review: Fully Ignited – Shannon Stacey

Fully Ignited was hot, tender, a bit complicated and very sweet. One of the things I loved the most in Fully Ignited was the innuendos made with food… And I got at least two great quotes for future Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts posts thanks to the sexiness of those. Both Jamie and Scott were great characters to follow in their adventures as firefighters, and it was refreshing to see a female LT, who was strong, confident and very competent. Neither of them wanted a romance at the workplace, though, but their attraction proved impossible for them to resist. However, Jamie’s job with Scott’s company was temporary, and so would their forbidden romance be. I also really enjoyed that Fully […]

Review: A Fighting Chance – Shannon Stacey

Review: A Fighting Chance – Shannon Stacey

A Fighting Chance is a very sweet, and hot, second-chance-at love romance, and I really enjoy the characters as well as their journey. I found the ending to be a little cheesy, though, and would have liked to spend a little bit more time with Del and Brendan. I loved how self-assured and sassy Del was from the beginning of Fighting Chance! She’s at a casino hotel, where she’s arrived before her girlfriends for a weekend of fun before her friend gets married. As she explores the hotel, she sees that there are MMA fights during the weekend, and she comes face to face with a huge poster of her ex-boyfriend, Brendan, and even in a photo, he affects her […]

Review: Controlled Burn – Shannon Stacey

Review: Controlled Burn – Shannon Stacey

Both Jess and Rick were strong characters, with the odds stacked against them, thus making Controlled Burn both beautiful and a little melancholy. My Controlled Burn review: Controlled Burn starts with Jess going to Boston for the first time, to meet her grandparents for the first time after her grandfather had a slightly bad fall, and Jess’s father was unavailable to do anything for them. Because Rick had been her grandparents’ tenant for the past few years, they were like family, and Rick was quite suspicious of Jess’s motivations for showing up now that her grandparents might have to sell their house and move into a senior citizen community to take better care of themselves. Of course, the fact that […]

Blogtour Review: Walled – Anne Tibbets

Blogtour Review: Walled – Anne Tibbets

Welcome to my stop on the Walled blogtour, hosted by Xpresso Booktours. I also participated in the Carrier blogtour a few months ago, and I was amazed by how twisted the story was, and how relevant to our society. Today, I am sharing my review of Walled, some of my favorite quotes as well as a giveaway where you can win some fantastic prizes! My Walled review: Walled is every bit as emotional and strong as Carrier was. Naya shows just how far she is willing and able to go to save herself, her children, and all the people living under Auberge’s rule. Once she realizes that living in hiding is not truly better than living in hell, she agrees […]

Review: Her Holiday Man – Shannon Stacey

Review: Her Holiday Man – Shannon Stacey

Her Holiday Man is a bittersweet holiday romance, where the two main characters are both holding back for fear of being hurt once more. My Her Holiday Man review: When Will decided to move back home, he hadn’t thought for one second he would have to share his newly widowed mother with the beautiful woman living across the street as well as her son. At first, he was extremely suspicious of Christina, was she trying to take advantage of his mom in any way? Or was she just a lonely woman having found a friend? It didn’t take long before Will was looking forward to seeing both Nathaniel and Christina, though. But he was not at all ready to open […]

Giveaway and Blogtour Review: No Apologies – Sybil Bartel

Giveaway and Blogtour Review: No Apologies – Sybil Bartel

*I received a free ARC of No Apologies from Xpresso Booktours in exchange of an honest review* Welcome to my stop on the No Apologies Blogtour! I have my review to share with you, as well as an international giveaway for a $25 Amazon GC. This story is raw, tense, tender and a pretty rough read! It is very seldom that I give five stars to a book I’m reviewing for a blogtour, however, No Apologies really, really deserve my five stars, it is well written and I was completely and utterly mesmerized both by the story and the two main characters. My No Apologies review: Graham is one of those hard-ass heroes, you know the one, you either love […]

Blogtour Review: Carrier (The Line #1) – Anne Tibbets

*I received a free ARC of Carrier from Xpresso Booktours in exchange of an honest review* Welcome to my stop on the Carrier blogtour! I have several things to share with you, my review, some of my favorite quotes, and an international giveaway. My Carrier Review: The Carrier is set in a dark, mysterious futuristic world, and the dystopian society is very creepy. The story is relevant, and it points out what is not going so well in our current society as well. Naya is a very strong female protagonist, she has been through hell, working from a very young age, then sold to The Line once she hit puberty, she has been forced to be a prostitute for the […]

Review: Stranger on the Shore – Josh Lanyon

Review: Stranger on the Shore – Josh Lanyon

*I received a free ARC of Stranger on the Shore from Carina Press via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review* My Stranger on the Shore Review: Stranger on the Shore is a mystery m/m book, in which Griff wants to write a book about a young boy, heir to a fortune, who was kidnapped twenty years ago. A reporter for a small paper, covering crime, Griff has done his homework, but he’s not feeling so good when he arrives in front of the Arlington mansion on Long Island. It appears that not everybody in the family wants to find Brian again, and Griff himself is pretty sure the boy was killed shortly after he was kidnapped. He does, however, […]
