Gotta love it when you read authors you haven’t read before and it ends up as a great read. I haven’t read their books either but I’ve been wanting to!

I just finished book 2 this morning, Stephanie. If you’re looking for some fun and laughs, I can definitely recommend this series. 😉

I hear you on the angst, this is definitely just a feel good book sans angst. But man, do I love to laugh and these characters are just – well as you said – great! I do think you might feel like you see some growth in Thatch and Cassie… and they are also hilarious. I just got the third book and can’t wait to read it. My favorite book by Max Monroe is actually (I think) Single Dad Seeks Juliet. Really looking forward to meeting them at Book Bonanza! Anyway, great review!

I just finished Thatch and Cassie this morning and yes, I did see actual growth in these two. Plus, they’re just so much fun! I’m starting the 3rd book and I can’t wait to see Wes and Winnie get together. Seriously. I won’t finish it for the challenge but I’ve made a valiant effort. LOL Can’t wait to see you next week!!!!!!!

Sounds like a fun book. But, like you, I enjoy a bit of angst in my books!

I think it depends on the type of angst. I think there needs to be some conflict in a story and it doesn’t need to be in the relationship necessarily. But it also depends on the author’s writing style as well. Some authors can write low angst in a relationship and make it work (example KA does this great) I think I read this one and liked it but it didn’t wow me or anything.

    Lovely review….as always!

Agreed, Renee. I think I’ve just been reading books that are heavier on the angst so I missed it in this one. It’s a fun read, for sure. A nice summer read. 😉 Thanks for stopping by!

I do love a fun, feel-gooder now and then and I’ve heard good stuff about the author. I’ll keep this one in mind. Way to go on getting through your series reads and prepping for your Con visit.

I like them now and again too, Sophia. I liked book #2 even more and I’m close to finishing #3 which, at this point, is the highlight of the trilogy. 🙂

I knew, even at the time, that part of the reason I loved this book so much was because of the narrators. I definitely know what you mean about the lack of angst, but I actually don’t always mind that. My other favourite by these authors is Trick Play…it’s the 3rd in a series I still have to finish (that’s actually related to book 3 of this series), but I read it first and loved it. I still have to read book 1, so if you end up loving Wes’s book and want to buddy Wildcat, let me know! And when I get to books 2 and 3 of Billionaires, I will definitely ping you to chat!

It’s not that I mind a lack of angst…it’s just that I seem to mind the lack of angst! LOL Oh my gosh! It’s probably just my mood right now though. I’m absolutely loving Wes’s story and I’m 70% in. So I’d say I’m going to be for reading Wildcat. 😉 Of course, I’m always up for buddy reading with you and/or chatting about books we’ve read in common. 😀
