Righteous! Ren and Ally were total awesomeness, Rock Chick Revolution was definitely the best of the best in this series!
My Rock Chick Revolution review:
Ren is my favorite male character in this whole series, and he’s not even officially one of the hot bunch! A guy who is tough, macho and alpha is all good and well, however, when he is able to have his woman’s back 100%, even when the work she does is not something he’d want her to do; he becomes something more than alpha, he becomes a super-alpha, one that can melt your heart, and one who truly deserves his heroine! Rock Chick Revolution showed how strong the feelings between Ren and Ally were, partly because Ren, after thinking things over, was able to let her do what she wanted to do – and he found it hot that she was bad-ass! And Ally showed that she was ore than a rock chick, that she was strong, good at what she was doing, and ready to just do her own thing.
Ally had already worked as a PI on the side for a couple of years before the beginning of Rock Chick Revolution, and she was really good at it! Careful, with great instincts, and never too proud to call for backup at the right time if she felt she’d need it. Ren is a characters I’ve been soft on ever since Ava and Luke’s story, and it was very enjoyable to get to know the hot American-Italian man a lot better! I loved how he treated Ally, especially when he didn’t necessarily agree with her, but managed to listen to her anyway, and take her feelings into consideration – at least most of the time – before starting to either argue or agree with her.
All the Hot Bunch and Rock Chicks were present in Rock Chick Revolution, and the way they have all developed and become more mature since the beginning of the series is something! There were some very good reveals in this story, especially about who had written the novels and leaked stories to the papers in past adventures.
Written in first person point of view, mostly from Ally’s perspective and in past tense, Rock Chick Revolution was fast-paced and even more filled with action – both when it came to fights and work and in the bedroom – and it was a great way to finish a series I really loved reading. Between the humor, the hotness, the friendships, the love and the loyalty, this series has strong foundations, and I have gotten all the books in audio as well – which is my way of doing a re-read 🙂

Ren always spooned me. No, that wasn’t right. He didn’t always spoon me. Sometimes he tucked me into his side when he was on his back. Sometimes he tucked me to his front when he was on his side and I was on my back. Sometimes I spooned him. But when I did, he held my hand to his chest, even in his sleep, so I couldn’t escape. He was a maximum contact sleeper.
The months before that, Ren had been trying to convince me we should explore what we had. I guessed he just gave up trying to convince me and decided to be my boyfriend even if I didn’t agree.
Always when he sensed I was awake, he commenced with The Talk (necessitating capital letters because Ren considered these Talks gravely serious and took them that way; again, I disagreed).

I’ve only read the first in the series, but as always, I intend to catch up ! I’ll soonish be reading more KA, but not the Rock Chick series, the Fantasyland one. I also have the Ghosts and reincarnation in store. Good times ahead ! Great review, Lexxie, I remember liking the first Rock chick book but wasn’t sure if I would continue, now I am 🙂 Bon courage pour l’examen interminable !

Gah! You have me vibrating in anticipation of re-reading Ren & Ally’s story, Lexxie! Ren is super-alpha – I think Ally would definitely approve of that description. 🙂 And as I was reading your review, I thought about how Ally had changed by the time we got to her story…she really matured and that made her story that much better. I can’t believe you got the entire series in audio! I only have Rock Chick but I fully intend to listen to it even if I already re-read it this month. 😉 I’m so, so happy you enjoyed Kristen Ashley and are now a Rock Chick, Lex! <3

Yeah, Ally has matured a lot, and I’m sure she’d approve with my description of Ren 😉 I want to listen to more audios, so since I loved this series, I figured I should permit myself to revisit the world through the audios 🙂

This series did have its ups and downs, Lekeisha, but overall, I’ve really enjoyed the ride! The female friendships are so well done, and I want more friends like them in my real life, too 😀

The fact that there is the same group of characters whom we follow throughout the series just made it better, Jaclyn. I loved seeing the friendship, the romances, and all the crazy action that surrounded these Rock Chicks 🙂
