Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

The Sunday Post #273 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

We’ve been on vacation in Catalonia in Spain for the past three weeks, and it’s been glorious! So nice to not have a schedule (which is why I have hardly posted anything!), and the weather has been nice, so we’ve gone on hikes, been to the beach, rented a boat to go snorkeling etc.

I got my schedule for the next school year, and I’m very happy with it. However that has also put me in planning mode, so I’m slowly preparing the school year, figuring out what to read with my classes, and just generally thinking too much about work!

For five days, all my kids were here with us, and that was fantastic, I can’t remember the last time we were all on vacation together. They appreciated it as well, especially as my oldest doesn’t live in the same country as us anymore, so we don’t get to see her all that often.

This Week’s Puppies in Action:

Freddy in front of Hercules, who is leaning his head on Freddy. They're lying on the couch and look very cozy and loving.
Lazy puppies on the couch.
Freddy and Hercules on the top of a small mountain, with their tongues out, in the background, there are trees and the sea.

  1. Wow, so many great looking ARCs! I hope you enjoy reading them. Ohh, Spain, that sounds like a dream-vacation!

  2. The puppies have really grown gloriously! Enjoy your time away! My son who lives in Prague always enjoys time in Spain.

Have fun with those books, too. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Oh nice! Glad you had a good vacation! I’m still trying to get me one of those! Lol. Looking like next year? Maybe? If the world is better then?

So glad for you that you were able to get away for a lovely long vacation and, yay, for all the kids being together with you. Harder to do as they get older, I know. That’s great that you got the school schedule you wanted and have already started thinking on it.
Cute puppy pics. Looks like they saw some beautiful country down there in Spain.

    Have a good week, Linda!

  5. I’m so glad you had a nice break and family time. And a schedule you like for the new year. I love seeing the puppies. I don’t know any of your new books, and not most of the authors even. !!

  6. I LOVE the “Lazy puppies on the couch” picture! Thank you for sharing them with us. My vacation starts in September and I am looking forward to three weeks of doing nothing but relaxing. Don´t know how long your stay in Catalonia will be but enjoy every minute of it, my friend. Family is everything.

  7. Catalonia sounds so nice. I’m so glad you were all able to be together- that’s awesome. Hope you have a wonderful rest of your vacation! Have fun 🙂

Aw I missed seeing the dogs! 🙂

A vacation to Spain sounds wonderful. I’m glad you all were able to be together there! I haven’t been anywhere in well over 3 years. Someday. You have some great looking arcs there. I have 4 here and have read 3. I haven’t even started a review and at least one of them I read 3 months ago or better. Not due until late August and late Sept. so I’m procrastinating. Hope you enjoy all those you have!

  9. Hi Linda. Glad to hear you’ve had such a good time with your family in Catalonia.
We’ve just started our school holidays here in the UK but I’ve already been looking for teaching assistant resources online ready for our return in September. Lol!
Hope you have a good week.

  10. Your time in Catalonia sounds divine, Linda! That’s my favorite aspect of any vacation – the lack of schedules. I know some people want vacations filled with adventures but I am more of the rest, relax, and recharge type. And how wonderful to have all the kids there for a time!
