Weekend Wrap-up #306 – Spring is in the air

Posted 7 March, 2020 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Memes, Wrap-up Posts / 19 Comments

Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookworms and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #306

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

I had Knight Awakening on pre-order, and I can’t wait to read it! This series is so very gritty.

I’ve been very, very good, haven’t I? Not buying books apart from pre-orders, and I’ve made a pretty nice dent in books I own for Unearthing a Bookish Bounty, too!

The Sunday Post #246 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

It’s been another rather long week – but I’m still hanging in there. I really need to write some of my papers for Uni – but I really, really don’t feel like it. Can you guys send me some motivation ASAP, please?

COYER is on its last weekend – did you participate? I’ve read 31 books for COYER and am pretty happy with myself.

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

Very nice not adding too much to the stacks! This is a new to me series but I hope you enjoy this latest installment!

    *<3*<3*<3* <– motivation! 😉

Hope you're able to get some work on your papers done. It's hard to be motivated on weekends, so I don't blame you. Lol.

My StS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  2. So nice to see something looking like spring !! The pups sure must love it – we’re still covered in snow here.. I can’t wait for it to melt .. ?

You can do it !! The more quickly you get to it and do it, the early over you’d be with it ?

  3. I am having flashbacks to grad school, and the need to write papers. It was always a struggle. Believe it or not, yoga helped. I hope you find your motivation and good luck with the papers!

  4. Yes… we have Spring flowers appearing here, too! But also a lot of rain… I am sending dollops of motivation your way for getting those papers written!

  5. Sending motivation haha! Although TBH writing papers doesn’t sound fun on the weekend- much better to relax and read, right? 🙂

Yay for spring! I’m really feeling it now that we’re in March. Have a great weekend!

  6. Linda, the temperatures haven’t risen too much here in the UK, but it has been nice to have more clear, bright days – Makes me excited for spring days reading in the garden soon! Last week, I was reading the gripping, historical thriller, The Poison Bed by E. C. Fremantle. I hope you have a lovely coming week and that you get some uni work done, too, as well as some great reading! ?

The spring is here in Dubai too, so there has been lots of clear blue skies lately, and I am loving it. Also I am having a lazy day in so I am not gonna judge you procrastinating at all.

  8. Just remember that once your papers are written, you won’t have it hanging over your head and you can enjoy your time instead of thinking about the papers! Good luck!

  9. I was happy to add another review ARC to my shelves this past week…plus some newer books. Good luck on writing those papers! Plan some kind of reward for yourself when you finish each task. Go, Linda!

    Here are my WEEKLY UPDATES

  10. You are doing very well with not getting too many new books and with all you read with COYER! I don’t have motivation this past week either but I believe in you! I would say alternate between work and play; it’s easier with a balance. When you are really overloaded with work though, the work may be 10 hours and the play 10 minutes, not so much a balance but still.

I hope you have a great week and finish your paper. My daughter has one to finish today also.

  11. Zanetti writes some good ones. I need some motivation myself. LOL The boys look like they are enjoying the spring like weather.

that guy does not look anything like a knight! More like some angry mercenary, but i guess there’s a reason?? Well I don’t feel autumn change yet, not even autumn flowers =(
