The Sunday Post # – Weekend Wrap-up
Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
It has been so very hot here this week- it’s almost impossible to sleep. And function. We also replaced all the bay windows this week, and we’re so happy we finally got that done. On Friday night, we had a little party to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and we had a great evening.

Oh my gosh! We ‘only’ had 34 here, but I still felt like I was melting!
Ugh, our heat has been bad too. It’s always hot and humid. Though I think it was 2 weeks ago, we had an oddly beautiful day where it was barely 80 degrees out! That was spectacular! Lol. Happy Belated Birthday to Hercules! Can’t believe he’s one already!
Nice new reads too! Lots of new to me ones but I hope you will enjoy each and every one of them!

Yes, it sure is! I can’t wait for fall. We also have very difficult topography in Geneva, with the lake, and tall mountains all around. Several times, the forecast told us it was rain, but the clouds never made it here 🙂

Yes, it’s hot here, too. Temperatures up in the 80s which is almost unheard of in the land of drizzle. No wonder the dogs like crunching ice cubes:). Glad your husband’s birthday celebrations went well and hope the coming week is cooler…
We’re in the middle of the 90s, and I hate it. It’s hard to sleep at night, and so, I’m cranky during the day 😀 Good thing I can stay inside to read!

We got a nice, long thunderstorm last night, Ro, and today, it’s back up to over 90 🙁 Soon, I’ll be complaining it’s too cold to sit outside in the mornings…

Aw, what adorable doggos! When the weather gets warm I usually put a frozen water bottle in my rabbit’s cage, but even then he just likes to hide under his blanket. (He actually lives indoors and stays quite comfortable, but he is in front of a window—for the view ?) I suppose the mind of a bunny is a mystery!

Yeah, we need to keep our animals as cool as possible so they don’t get sick… I have no idea what goes on in a bunny’s mind… we used to have one, too 🙂

I need to read Christina Lauren’s new book, I’ve heard some wonderful things about it. I still need to catch up with KA Chaos series. Enjoy all your new reads. It’s always enjoyable to see photos of Freddy and Hercules.
I hadn’t heard of Christina Lauren’s book until I spotted it on Edelweiss… but it sounds really good! And I already read the new Kristen Ashley book, loved it and am happy I wasn’t able to wait.
It’s been super hot here too… and rainy. So much rain. I’m hoping we don’t get much rain this week!
We finally got some rain last night – so it was cool while it was dark. Now, it’s back up to the 90s, though 🙁
I’m a little envious of some of your new books, wifey. But I, too, hauled in Wild Like the Wind. 😉 I hope your temps cool down. It’s starting to feel fallish around here…temps dipping into the 40’s overnight. I’m loving it.

OMG! The heat and humidity. Even on days when it isn’t as hot, the humidity is so bad, it almost hurts to breathe. I hope you get some cooler temps in your future. Loved seeing the pups. 😀
I know! It was killing me. We’ve had rain since last night now, and I’m SO happy! I’m wearing jeans and long sleeves, and singing in the rain 🙂
I’ve been OK with the heat as I’m staying inside, but I have noticed in the last week that it seems to get hotter in my bedroom as night and the dark encroach. I have the ceiling fan and tower fans going, my air purifier, and had the AC set to 73. It should be fine, but one night I woke up drenched in sweat. You’d have thought someone poured cups of water all over me and the sheets. Even turning the AC down to 70 I’m still waking up sweaty. I don’t know what’s going on, but I don’t like it. I hope you get some relief soon!
