The Sunday Post # – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

It has been so very hot here this week- it’s almost impossible to sleep. And function. We also replaced all the bay windows this week, and we’re so happy we finally got that done. On Friday night, we had a little party to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and we had a great evening.

This Week’s Puppies in Action:

Finally, I have some cool pictures of Freddy and Hercules to share with you this week. They’ve been good dogs with all the people that have been around the house this week.

They appreciate crunching an ice cube every now and then with this heat.
Hercules turned one on Friday, and so he and Freddy got a little treat 🙂

  1. Ugh, our heat has been bad too. It’s always hot and humid. Though I think it was 2 weeks ago, we had an oddly beautiful day where it was barely 80 degrees out! That was spectacular! Lol. Happy Belated Birthday to Hercules! Can’t believe he’s one already!

Nice new reads too! Lots of new to me ones but I hope you will enjoy each and every one of them!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  2. Its been so hot here in NYC as well. So I can identify with your frustration about how hot it is. Your dogs look like they are happy. Nice stack of books.

  3. Guess we all had a hot one this past week. Glad your window project went in well.
I need to get the new KA Chaos book.

    Ah, love seeing the puppies.

  4. So Switzerland is hot too? Well Belgium feels like an oven too. And nice trick with the ice cubes. I will try it with my own fur baby!

  5. Ack hope the hear dies down for you soon! That’s the worst. And happy birthday to your husband, and Hercules too!

    Hope you’re having a good weekend. 🙂

  6. Yes, it’s hot here, too. Temperatures up in the 80s which is almost unheard of in the land of drizzle. No wonder the dogs like crunching ice cubes:). Glad your husband’s birthday celebrations went well and hope the coming week is cooler…

  7. RO

Happy belated to your hubby, and glad you had a great time at the party. I feel your pain with the heat. Even though we’ve had rain just about every day last week, the heat was still over the top and uncomfortable. Hopefully you guys will see some relief soon. Hugs…RO

  8. Happy Birthday to your husband. Our weather here has been in the low 80’s and some 70’s. I think Fall is going to be coming soon for us. The leaves are covering our ground already. Enjoy all the new amazing books you got and try and stay cool.

  9. I know the feeling, it’s been way too hot here as well. Makes it hard to focus and sleep. That’s nice you replaced those bay windows.Your dogs are so cute. Have a great week!

  10. Aw, what adorable doggos! When the weather gets warm I usually put a frozen water bottle in my rabbit’s cage, but even then he just likes to hide under his blanket. (He actually lives indoors and stays quite comfortable, but he is in front of a window—for the view ?) I suppose the mind of a bunny is a mystery!

Happy belated birthday to your husband, and hooray for finishing installing those windows!

  11. I’m a little envious of some of your new books, wifey. But I, too, hauled in Wild Like the Wind. 😉 I hope your temps cool down. It’s starting to feel fallish around here…temps dipping into the 40’s overnight. I’m loving it.
    Enjoy your week! {{{BIG HUGS}}} & LOVE

  12. I’ve been OK with the heat as I’m staying inside, but I have noticed in the last week that it seems to get hotter in my bedroom as night and the dark encroach. I have the ceiling fan and tower fans going, my air purifier, and had the AC set to 73. It should be fine, but one night I woke up drenched in sweat. You’d have thought someone poured cups of water all over me and the sheets. Even turning the AC down to 70 I’m still waking up sweaty. I don’t know what’s going on, but I don’t like it. I hope you get some relief soon!
