Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #211

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

And, for the first time ever, there were NO new arrivals of books. I’m not sure how that happened, but it did.

The Sunday Post #161 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

Last week, we switched to daylight savings… and I hate it! It gets dark way too early, and it won’t be light early in the morning for long. At least, the weather has been really nice, sunny and chilly, and that helps when darkness descends in the late afternoon.

Apart from working and hanging out with the dogs and my family, I didn’t do much this past week. I’m totally blaming it on the daylight saving blues!

I got some reading done, and am also up to date on most of my TV shows.

Naps have a great importance in Freddy’s and Hercules’ lives 🙂

Hercules just loves the big dogbed. It’s truly like a cloud. I want a mattress like that!

  1. Our weather has been really nice than really hot. It’s getting on my nerves lol.
I am looking forward to the time change. It’s like so dark in the morning but I don’t mind it getting dark early. It just makes the chilly weather more cozy. 🙂

Hercules looks like the king of comfy cozy. Dexter is like that. He looks so comfy wherever he is. They look so cute together!

I hope you have a wonderful week, Lexxie! Miss you lots! Happy Reading! ox

    • It started raining here yesterday. With clouds really low, and that’s usually how it is during the whole winter… Gray and damp. Oh well.
Hercules is the king of comfy cozy, he will always seek out someone or something warm to snuggle with, then he sighs fairly loudly and curls into a ball of bliss.
      Miss you too, Michelle! xoxo

  2. It sucks right? I hate it aswell, especially in the evening when I arrive home it’s DARK OUTSIDE. Pffff, no fun at all. 🙂

  3. We change our time this weekend…I hate the whole switching up of the clocks, as I have a collection of the battery-operated kind, so I removed the batteries from a few of them…LOL

The dogs are adorable, as usual. Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

    • Right now, it’s actually light when I leave for work, but not when I get back home. And in a couple of weeks it’ll be dark in the morning again anyway, so I really don’t understand the change.
You’re right though, it does make for some cozy times with good books.

  4. LOL, you showed great restraint to not have new books. I need to do that waaaay more often so I can catch up.
Daylight savings time disrupts my life for a bit until I adjust, too.

Hercules and Freddy are so sweet together.

Have a good week coming, Lexxie!

  5. I hate the time switch as well. It gets dark at 5:00! When I leave work it is PITCH black. Kinda scary and instantly makes me sleepy. I am convinced I have SAD and wish we could at least have sunlight year-round. I don’t like the gray and gloom of winter.

    • I know! And I don’t like it when it’s dark when I leave work… It makes me instantly sleepy, too – and it’s even worse when I go to Norway to visit my family. Even if I should totally be used to that, since I grew up there, but pitch dark at 3pm just throws me completely off my game.

  6. Oh the dogs are so sweet!!
I’m not a fan of any of these silly time changes. I hate anything that messes with my schedule. Just pick a time and lets stick with it!
I am glad to see you liked Cherish Hard by Nalini Singh! I will have to come back next week to check out your review!

  7. I’m so not a fan of daylight saving either and don’t see the need for it. The only good thing is the shortest day isn’t too far away, and then we can watch the evenings stretch again. So odd to see you with no new books, are you all right?! (LOL)

  8. Wow..No new books? That’s definitely impressive. 😉 I so need to stop requesting and buying books. LOL!
I’m having mixed feelings about this Daylight Savings Time thing. On the one hand I’m hating the whole getting to work in the dark, and driving home in the semi dark bit. But I’m also loving the whole cozy, candlelight, almost Christmas feeling I’m having at the moment.
Have a great week and happy reading!

  9. What???? No new books? LOL I’m the opposite. I didn’t even list all of mine on my post. Felt guilty that I grabbed so many. I blame it on the sales. LOL Your pups are really cozying up areb’t they. Hercules looks adorable in the puffy dog bed. I love your dog photos every week!

    My Sunday Post

  10. I really want to read a book by J. A. Huss – I’ve seen her books on other blogs, and I’m really intrigued by it. Cherish Hard by Nalini Singh was such a sweet read, I really enjoyed it. ROCK HARD Gabe’s story was a five star book for me.

Have a great day and happy reading!!!

  11. We had daylight savings today and I hate the change in time. But nights have been getting darker earlier so it feels later than usual. I have requested any new ARCs, primarily because I haven’t had time to look (which is a good thing lol). I hope you have a great week!

  12. We had Daylight Savings this past weekend. I don’t know of anyone who likes it. We really should stop doing it. I’ve heard it costs a lot of money because production goes down in all businesses and there are more car wrecks, etc. I love the puppy pictures. I hope you have a great week.

  13. It’s impressive that you got no new books! That gives you a chance to cut down on TBR instead of building it up 😉 And I know what you mean about daylight saving… I came out of my uni class at 4pm and it was ALMOST COMPLETELY DARK.
