Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.
STS #174
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are bought, borrowed, won or ARCs I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:
Thank you HQN Books and NetGalley!
This is one of my favorite series, and I’ve been waiting for the audio forever! I can’t wait to start listening 🙂 Thank you, JA Huss!
Thank you, Tantor Media!
I’m still making my actual dead-tree library bigger – adding more books by my favorite authors little by little 😉
The Sunday Post #124 – Weekend Wrap-up
Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
On Monday morning, on the way to work, I fell with the scooter… Luckily, there was more fear than harm done, but I had several bumps and blue marks on Tuesday. And I hurt almost all over the day after, too – as if I’d done too much sports after several months of doing nothing. I’m dong well, so no need to worry about me!
For a week starting today, #3 #4 Freddy and I will be in Norway with my family, as we have a week off. And Freddy will finally meet his dad! I just really hope they will get along fine, and that they’ll have fun together. The kids, especially, are so excited about the two dogs spending a week together.
ETA: I was sure I had done my Freddy in action, but apparently that isn’t so, so here we go.

Michelle @ Because Reading is Better than Real Life shares some books she’s Determined to Read this Year.
Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!
Whew! Glad the scooter accident wasn’t more serious and glad you’re recovering.
Sounds like a fun trip to see the family. Haha, Freddy and his daddy. Hope its peaceful.
Nice haul. I love getting the paper copies of my favorite authors, too.
Enjoy your week off, Lexxie!
I was very lucky, Sophia, and I am so thankful I wasn’t hurt.
Freddy and his dad are so cuter together!
Yikes glad you’re okay! And enjoy the trip to Norway. Hope the dogs have fun. 🙂
Sorry to hear See You In Paris fell a little flat.
Thanks, Greg 🙂 I was very lucky to not get hurt much – good thing I wasn’t driving fast, for once the morning traffic worked in my favor 😉
Auch, glad the accident wasn’t serious. Don’t worry about adding more trees to your library…I’ve murdered a whole rainforest with my collection…! Enjoy your trip to Norway!
Me, too, Chuckles!
I love having beautiful books on my shelves, and now that I have better and more shelves, I have room for more books 😀
Those books look all really great. Hope you’ll enjoy them all! I’m glad you’re okay after your scooter accident. Sounded painful. And I totally want to see pictures of Freddy and his dad. I bet he’s gonna have so much fun. 😀
They do, right? I can’t wait to read them 🙂
It was a bit painful, but it could have been so much worse, so I’m just happy I was so lucky – if I had to fall, at least nothing serious happened to me…
I’m glad your ok after your scooter accident – I hope the bruising heals soon. I also hope you enjoy all the new books you got this week.
My StS: https://rathertoofondofbooks.com/2017/02/11/stacking-the-shelves-11-feb/
It’s already a lot better, Hayley 🙂
I’m glad you’re okay Lexxie! 🙂 I hope you enjoy these new additions to your shelves.
Thanks, Chrissi 🙂
I’m glad you’re okay, and I hope Freddy gets along with his dad. Enjoy your new books!
Yesterday was a bit tough with the dogs, but today, everything is really good, and I can’t wait to share some pics of both of them next week 🙂
Oh no! Are you okay? Falling from anything is really scary. :/ Your puppy sitting on the piano is SO cute! I want to smoosh his ears. =) I love the 1,001 Dark Nights books! Tessa Bailey’s is really good. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
Have a fabulous week, Lexxie. 🙂
Check out my STS post!
I was lucky I wasn’t driving faster, Alyssa Susanna, so I wasn’t badly hurt at all.. and I’ve driven it again just so I won’t be afraid to later.
The 1001 Dark Night books are amaze balls!
Freddie is a very active dog. He certainly loves to play. I hope you love all of your new books.
Grace @ Books of Love
He loves playing and his days are pretty much spent playing, eating or napping 😀
You can hardly go wrong with Sawyer Bennett and I want to read Lori Foster’s books but I dunno where to start and which one to go for my first read.. Can you suggest something?
My Stacking The Shelves
I agree, Sawyer Bennett is awesome! I’ve already read Roman, and I really look forward to a revisit by listening to it.
I love Lori Foster’s Ultimate series, that’s the one I started with. The books can be read out of order, but there are characters who are common to all the books in the series. I think Ultimate is a spin-off of her Love Undercover series, which is awesome, too… If you want to start with something recent where you have a lot of books to read, maybe start with the Love Undercover, then go on to the Ultimate series, and then the Body Armor series that she just started – the 2nd book is being released in March 🙂
Thank you for the recommendation! I have heard of Love Undercover I am gonna check it out on goodreads. Even though you can read these books as standalones with different couples, the OCD me won’t allow me to read in between. I dunno I can never start a series in between for some reason. I will be sure to add Love Undercover and Ultimate books on my tbr list and check them out. Thanks again!
The scooter accident does sound scary…and usually we hurt more the next day, don’t we?
I love Freddy on the piano keys…
I am envious of the Norway trip….my maternal grandparents came from Sweden, so I’ve always wanted to visit the Scandinavian countries. Enjoy! I hope Freddy loves his family reunion.
Have a great week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
He was so cute on the piano, I just had to take a pci – one of my children filmed him as well, the sound bites aren’t all that good, though 😉
You should try to aim for a trip to Scandinavia one day, Laurel-Rain, it’s so beautiful here!
Enjoy your week away! I hope Freddy enjoys meeting his dad!
So far, so good, Charlie 🙂
Freddy is adorable as always. I am sure that he will become great friends with his dad. I am sorry to hear about your fall 🙁 I am glad you didn’t get hurt any worse. Hopefully you can fully recover during your week of vacation. Enjoy all of your new books!
I’m actually almost back to normal now, Carole, just a bruise on my hip and on my lower leg, but they don’t hurt much anymore 🙂
The two dogs together are darling!
Oh, sorry to hear about your scooter accident, but am intrigued re what sort of scooter… like the kind you ride on with one leg? I knew someone in Sweden who used something similar… or did you mean a buggy?
Cultural differences I guess!
A scooter (which really is the French word, now that I think about it…) is a small motorcycle (125 cc) So not the one your Swedish friend talked about.
Yay! Glad that you recovered from your Scooter accident and good luck in Norway!
Thanks, Ronyell 🙂
I also added some books to my dead tree library this week, haha. It’s still tiny, but it’s growing ever so slowly!
Oh no, sorry to hear about the scooter accident, but I’m glad you’re alright. And aww, Freddy’s gonna meet his dad? That sounds like it’s gonna be adorable. Get some photos of both of them together for us 😉
I think my post next week-end will be only puppy pictures, Kristen, they are SO cute together 😀
some interesting new books there! happy reading and have a nice weekend!
Glad to hear your scooter spill wasn’t more serious and not surprised you have felt sore and stiff all over. Taking arnica really helps loosen you back up again, if you are still suffering. Loving the pic of Freddy’s musical debut and hope you all have a wonderful time in Norway.

Oh I jut can’t with Freddy. Love that pic on the piano! his long ears are SOOO CUTE!!! Sorry to hear you fell with the scooter… but good that you are doing well! A few bruises are not that bad if you were having fun 🙂
Glad you are okay after your scooter accident! Scary! Freddy is adorable! I saw the short video on IG with him and his dad. They seemed to be getting along fine!
Enjoy your books! Hope you have a great week!

Oh NO! My Friend! I am so glad you didn’t get too badly hurt! Falling is a scary thing. *gently hugs you*
Awww! Freddy got to meet his daddy! That is so cute, I hope they got along.
Have a great week, Lexxie! Miss you! oxox
So glad you’re ok after that accident! That must have been scary.
I’d have to agree with you, Freddy is adorable.
My week was a rough work week, but I’ve been doing my best to relax this weekend. I’m trying to recharge my batteries before going back to the grind on Monday. I went to a used book sale on Saturday and bough way too many books. My bookshelves are so full they might just collapse at this point LOL
Oh gosh, I’m glad you’re doing okay! That’s never fun – I hate feeling sore all over.
Freddy is too cute! I hope he gets along with his dad.

I hope that you enjoy your trip and the Freddy and daddy have a great time together.
Sorry to hear about your fall. Glad the injuries weren’t any worse and hope you are recovering nicely. Sting was a good read for me.

Happy reunion, Freddy! Have fun with the family, Lexxie!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
*sigh* You picked up some great looking books, Lexxie. I’m envious of Roman in particular but mostly because you’re so far into that series and I’m not. Hmph! lol I hope you’re having a wonderful time visiting your family and Freddy enjoys meeting his daddy. And I also hope you ENJOY all your new books!!
Love & {{{BIG HUGS}}}
An electric scooter? I’m sure your pride was damaged too.
Enjoy your reads, and your time in Norway!!
