Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place to showcase a book we’re really looking forward to with bated breath! A new release in our favorite series, an exciting new title from a favorite author…
Waiting on Wednesday #41 – Shards of Hope
This week, I’m waiting on Shards of Hope (Psy-Changeling #14) by Nalini Singh. If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m a huge Singh fan, her stories always mesmerize me, and Psy-Changeling is so original and well done I’m really looking forward to June 2nd which is the anticipated release date 🙂
Shards of Hope (Psy-Changeling #14) – Nalini Singh
Awakening wounded in a darkened cell, their psychic abilities blocked, Aden and Zaira know they must escape. But when the lethal soldiers break free from their mysterious prison, they find themselves in a harsh, inhospitable landscape far from civilization. Their only hope for survival is to make it to the hidden home of a predatory changeling pack that doesn’t welcome outsiders.
And they must survive. A shadowy enemy has put a target on the back of the Arrow squad, an enemy that cannot be permitted to succeed in its deadly campaign. Aden will cross any line to keep his people safe for this new future, where even an assassin might have hope of a life beyond blood and death and pain. Zaira has no such hope. She knows she’s too damaged to return from the abyss. Her driving goal is to protect Aden, protect the only person who has ever come back for her no matter what.
This time, even Aden’s passionate determination may not be enough—because the emotionless chill of Silence existed for a reason. For the violent, and the insane, and the irreparably broken…like Zaira.
Thanks for stopping by, have a fantastic Wednesday! Don’t forget to leave me a link in your comment so I can come and check out your Waiting on Wednesday post, too.
I find so many books I want to read, on your blog. My TBR-list gets longer every time I visit you, and I´d love to read this series too 🙂
Vi har skikkelig ruskevær i dag, men det blir grønnere og grønnere ute, så det er bare bra! Ønsker deg en herlig dag!!
Here is my WoW

I can’t really say I’m sorry about that, Anette… That’s partly why we blog, no? To entice other readers to read the same books we want to read 😉
Grønt er bra! Håper ruskeværet blir til fint snart 🙂 Ha en fantastisk dag du også!
This book sounds interesting! I love the cover.
My Waiting on Wednesday post.
This whole series is amazing, Majanka!
I suspect you’re doing this on purpose . . . You know I still have to try her books, and you keep putting her titles under my nose any chance you get . . . You’re seriously trying to ‘break me’, aren’t you? Well, your excitement and love for this series does quite a good job at that! *tries to figure out how to make time for this*
Guess what? I’ve just posted my first WoW! 😀
It’s not as if I’m going to start sharing books that don’t look great, now, Silvia :p Nalini Singh is just so amazing, though, and I’d happily donate a couple of hours to you if that was at all possible.
Nalini Singh is an awesome author!
Waiting on Wednesday
She sure is, Christine 🙂 thanks for stopping by.
I still haven’t started this series of Singh’s but I do love her writing. So many books…so little time. Perhaps when we have our own little island where we can sun ourselves and read all day while sipping pretty drinks?? 😉 **BIG HUGS**
I know! And when do you think we will be able to get to that little island? Can you imagine? All the books we could ever want, palm trees, sea, pretty drinks and each other (and our families…)?
*BIG HUGS*
Nice! Never did read this series, but I love Nalini’s Archangel one–I am totally having that moment where I blank on the series title! EEP!
Here’s my WoW
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
It’s a really hot and well done UF series, Jessica, and if you enjoy the Guild Hunter, I think you’ll enjoy Psy-Changeling as well! Happy reading 🙂
I know about this author but I’ve never read any books by her. What book by her would you recommend to start with? =)
Oh my goodness, Stephanie, I recommend ALL her books, apart from one… If you like angels, you should try her Guild Hunter series, if you enjoy shifters and vampires and other creatures in an urban fantasy environment, Psy-Changeling is amazing, and if you prefer contemporary then there is her Rock Kiss series (that’s the one where I didn’t enjoy book #1 very much, but I loved #1.5 and #2). So yeah, she’s one of my auto-buy authors.
Thanks! Then I have lots to check out. 😉
LOL, yeah, if you want this series, you’ll have loads of book to keep you in the same universe for a while, Stephanie.

I have not tried this author but I always thought this series looked interesting…14 books…yikes..that’s a lot to be behind on..so not sure if I will try it or not..lol
Actually, this series is not one where you have to read the books in order, even if it might make it even better if you do. And I love the paranormal aspects here, Stormi, there are shapeshifters and vampires, but there are other kinds of paranormal peeps as well 🙂
New to me but great pick. Hope you get a chance to read it soon.
Thanks, Brandi 🙂

Still going strong at 14 books. That’s a good sign, I hope you won’t be disappointed by this
Thanks, Braine, I hope so, too 🙂 And Nalini Singh really knows how to make a paranormal story different.
This is a new series for me…but it does sound exciting. Thanks for sharing, and I hope you enjoy it.
Here’s mine: “THE WRONG MAN”
It is exciting, Laurel-Rain, and it’s also very well done, with truly great characters and storylines.
I remember you mentioning Singh before Lexxie, but unfortunately I still haven’t read any of her books. I love that this series has so many books and is still going though – there’s nothing better than starting a series and knowing you can lose yourself in it for that many books 😀 That fact that you used the word ‘unique’ to describe this series and the fact that it’s a paranormal story with psychic powers is even more appealing to me. GREAT pick^^ x
Yeah, unique is always good, right. And hey, you could stay in the Psy-Changeling universe for a long time if you had all the books lined up, Micheline!
I hope you enjoy the book! Check out my WoW!
Thanks, Stina 🙂
Oh wow! This series is so far in. Still hope to pick up the first one though. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Happy Wednesday!
Shane @ Itchingforbooks
Yeah, there are a lot of amazing books out already in this one. It means it’s possible for new readers to binge-read, though, Shane 😉
A reminder that I need to start this series! I hope I can get to it soon!
It’s an amazing series, Lizzie! I hope you’ll find the time to start it soon, and that you’ll enjoy it as much as I do.
I am a little behind on this series! I need to catch up!
Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace
I think I have one more to read that’s already out… so the wait won’t be too difficult.
I stopped at Heart of obsidian, got it but haven’t read it yet – however, I read all of the previous instalments last year thanks to Anna at Herding cats , this series is absolutely fascinating 🙂
I agree, the intricacies of the Psy Changeling series are many, and well done! I hope you’ll be able to catch up soon 🙂 We really deserve a few more hours in every day – especially earmarked for reading!
