Waiting on Wednesday - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place to showcase a book we’re really looking forward to with bated breath! A new release in our favorite series, an exciting new title from a favorite author…

Waiting on Wednesday #41 – Shards of Hope

This week, I’m waiting on Shards of Hope (Psy-Changeling #14) by Nalini Singh. If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m a huge Singh fan, her stories always mesmerize me, and Psy-Changeling is so original and well done I’m really looking forward to June 2nd which is the anticipated release date 🙂

Shards of Hope (Psy-Changeling #14) – Nalini Singh

Awakening wounded in a darkened cell, their psychic abilities blocked, Aden and Zaira know they must escape. But when the lethal soldiers break free from their mysterious prison, they find themselves in a harsh, inhospitable landscape far from civilization. Their only hope for survival is to make it to the hidden home of a predatory changeling pack that doesn’t welcome outsiders.
And they must survive. A shadowy enemy has put a target on the back of the Arrow squad, an enemy that cannot be permitted to succeed in its deadly campaign. Aden will cross any line to keep his people safe for this new future, where even an assassin might have hope of a life beyond blood and death and pain. Zaira has no such hope. She knows she’s too damaged to return from the abyss. Her driving goal is to protect Aden, protect the only person who has ever come back for her no matter what.
This time, even Aden’s passionate determination may not be enough—because the emotionless chill of Silence existed for a reason. For the violent, and the insane, and the irreparably broken…like Zaira.

Thanks for stopping by, have a fantastic Wednesday! Don’t forget to leave me a link in your comment so I can come and check out your Waiting on Wednesday post, too.

  1. I find so many books I want to read, on your blog. My TBR-list gets longer every time I visit you, and I´d love to read this series too 🙂
Vi har skikkelig ruskevær i dag, men det blir grønnere og grønnere ute, så det er bare bra! Ønsker deg en herlig dag!!

    • I can’t really say I’m sorry about that, Anette… That’s partly why we blog, no? To entice other readers to read the same books we want to read 😉
Grønt er bra! Håper ruskeværet blir til fint snart 🙂 Ha en fantastisk dag du også!

  2. I suspect you’re doing this on purpose . . . You know I still have to try her books, and you keep putting her titles under my nose any chance you get . . . You’re seriously trying to ‘break me’, aren’t you? Well, your excitement and love for this series does quite a good job at that! *tries to figure out how to make time for this*
Guess what? I’ve just posted my first WoW! 😀

    • Actually, this series is not one where you have to read the books in order, even if it might make it even better if you do. And I love the paranormal aspects here, Stormi, there are shapeshifters and vampires, but there are other kinds of paranormal peeps as well 🙂

  3. I remember you mentioning Singh before Lexxie, but unfortunately I still haven’t read any of her books. I love that this series has so many books and is still going though – there’s nothing better than starting a series and knowing you can lose yourself in it for that many books 😀 That fact that you used the word ‘unique’ to describe this series and the fact that it’s a paranormal story with psychic powers is even more appealing to me. GREAT pick^^ x
